I remain horrified at how the "language" of people I respect throughout history CRIPPLES AND DISARMS US. I take it as a personal responsibility to attempt to discover infinitely more descriptive, TRUE, EMPOWERING ALTERNATIVES TO THE LIKES OF:

• NONviolence. NON??!?!? Does "non" explain Jesus? King? Gandhi? NON?!?!??!?! Desecration. Unacceptable. We must do better.
• Peace (the moon, because it is absent of Life has Peace). "He came not to give the peace of the world which is only that we don't bother each other. He came to give the Peace of heart which comes from loving - from doing good to others." Teresa of Calcutta.
• Resistance (there is no victory / new order at the end of the word "resistance.") If our child were trapped under a car would we "resist?" WE'D LIFT THE DAMN THING, or die trying.
• Etc....

THIS MORNING popped into my mind "UNARMED PSYCHOLOGICAL WARFARE."

1. The "war" we despise is not only "armed" but ultimately, explicitly and entirely PSYCHOLOGICAL. The bombs are to "change the mind" of the "enemy."
2. The alternative to armed warfare of oppression, that action waged by Empire that is destroying the planet? UNARMED PSYCHOLOGICAL WARFARE.

Yes this needs more work, but I think it is on a promising path. Comments?

CONSTRUCTIVELY FACING THREAT OF JAIL

Big deal! So I face the remote prospect of jail time for "refusing to obey a lawful order" at the Pentagon - Leafletting. Folks from the Plow Share's movement and others like them have spent years, 10's of years in jail! Yes, for leafletting at the Pentagon I maybe let off (as I was the first time in January) or at worst face months of jail. My body is quite upset at the idea of months in jail but my Spirit is fine, as long as it is the best use of my Life.

But, it is entirely my responsibility, my only responsibility in this, and in life more broadly to guide the use of my life as constructively as possible. Hence my musings in this post. Your comments would be valued as I discern what I am called to do.

THESE ARE MY CURRENT THOUGHTS (expanded below):

1. My focus should not / MUST NOT be on making some "Legal" point or advance.
2. My focus should be to offer an opportunity (no matter how remote) that MIGHT spur a dramatic MORAL CONVERSION within anyone touched by my action, now or in the future.
3. My efforts should be to be a Brother providing an opportunity to a sibling (judge, onlookers) to "wake up" to their sub-humanity, and move to their birthright - HUMANITY (EMPIRE LICENSES SUB-HUMANITY ).
4. I should take responsibility for how much risk (time in jail) / opportunity this Moral Opportunity presents and decide accordingly how much risk to take.

1. MY FOCUS SHOULD NOT / MUST NOT BE ON MAKING SOME "LEGAL" POINT OR ADVANCE.

• There is no more time for the slow reformation of our "Legal" process. It is not my responsibility to block others from this pursuit, but it is my view that this path is too slow, when we just don't have the time. If I kill time, I kill people.
• TO ENGAGE AN EVIL SYSTEM ON ITS TERMS IS TO LEGITIMIZE / EMPOWER, PARTICIPATE WITH THE SYSTEM. What purports to be a "Legal" system in this country is the opposite; it is patently a system to impose the will of the overprivelaged, or overprivelaged-wanna-bees on the poor and weak. It feeds off of cooperation. Gandhi was correct in asserting our moral duty to NOT cooperate with evil.

2. MY FOCUS SHOULD BE TO OFFER AN OPPORTUNITY FOR MORAL CONVERSION.

• With Gandhi again I find agreement - Moral Conversion is the most difficult goal, and the most necessary for us to cling to. And even if all of us are not to cling to that goal, I feel that for my entire adult life this has been my goal; I am suited to it; I desire it; I find it worth my life, so at least, for me, this is the right goal.
• WE ARE OUT OF TIME ON PLANT EARTH; THE TIME FOR CHANGE IS NOW OR NEVER; THE CHANGE WE NEED IS A QUANTUM LEAP; MASS MORAL CONVERSION IS THAT LEAP. START LOVING IS CALLED TO ATTEMPT TO SPARK THAT QUANTUM LEAP.

3. My efforts should be to be a Brother providing an opportunity to a sibling (judge, onlookers) to "wake up" to their sub-humanity, and move to their birthright - HUMANITY (EMPIRE LICENSES SUB-HUMANITY).

IF I DECIDE THAT THIS OCT 12 COURT APPEARANCE IS WORTH IT:

• MY ACTION SHOULD BE TO BE PRESENT AS A BROTHER OUT OF RESPECT AND CONCERN FOR HIS SISTERS AND BROTHERS (IN THE SYSTEM.) I WILL HAVE NO COUNSEL. I THINK JESUS MEANT IT WHEN HE SAID - DO NOT GO TO LAW. LAW IS SIMPLY SANCTIONED WARFARE - ONE PERSON "AGAINST" THE OTHER. IT IS NOT AN ACT OF LOVE OR SISTERHOOD; IT IS EVIL VIOLENCE.
• I WILL "AGREE" WITH THEIR CHARGES THAT I DID WHAT THEY SAID - WENT ON THE SIDEWALK TO LEAFLET WHEN THEY SAID "NO."
• I WILL LOVINGLY AND FIRMLY REFUSE TO AGREE WITH THEIR WORD "GUILTY" BECAUSE MY ACTION WAS EXACTLY TO AVOID BEING "GUILTY" OF VIOLATING OUR "MOTHER'S" / HUMANITY'S / HIGHER-LAW'S DEMANDS - "DO UNTO OTHERS ALL THAT YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO UNTO YOU." If I worked in the Pentagon, you bet I would want armies of sisters and brothers to leaflet no matter what to bring my attention to being the world's largest oil polluter / planet murderer.
• IN DOING THIS (ABOVE) I WILL GIVE THEM A CHOICE (yes it is a choice they can and almost certainly will avoid "facing"): THE CHOICE BETWEEN TREATING ME AS I TREAT THEM - AS A HUMAN, AS A BROTHER / with HUMANITY; OR TREATING ME AS AN INANIMATE OBJECT - TRASH / IN-HUMANELY, AS IS THEIR HABIT. THIS IS THE MORAL CHOICE I WANT TO PRESENT THEM WITH. THIS IS THE MODEL JESUS PROVIDED, when He thought the time was right for him to make such a costly move.

4. I should take responsibility for how much risk (time in jail) vs opportunity this particular Moral Opportunity presents and decide accordingly how much risk to take. With two weeks to ponder this further, and hoping for input from you, my current, strongly held thought for weeks now is to proceed as outlined above, despite the wonderful input I have received to the contrary so far [take a lawyer, contest that the order was "lawful," cuz it "wasn't; it violates free speech! Will help us correct the legal system....]. Why?

• I find a deep belief that the poorly expressed line of thought above is correct.
• It is an experiment in unarmed-psychological-warfare (nonviolence) , giving Innocent blood worth executing.
• It is an opportunity worth presenting both to the "court" and to the onlookers.

My only hero? Oh my God, I have so many - Phil Berrigan, Dave Dellinger, Diane Wilson, Gandhi, King, Bev, Joan of Arc, Rosa Parks, Mandela, young Tim Phiri, Thomas, Connie, Ellen, DIANE, Ann, Gael, Assisi, Eleanor R, Teresa of Calcutta, Col Ann Wright, MR, Buddha, Liz MacAlister, .... and so many others like these.

But Jesus is my greatest hero. Jesus is my greatest Love. Jesus is my greatest example.

Is He God? I don't know, and neither do you. And, like Gandhi, I couldn't care less. He is my brother. He loved us more than anyone ever has. He died to give us the example of how to Live. I want with all of my being to be like Him, for you, for your children, for their children....

EMPIRE OR KINDOM. ONE OR THE OTHER YOU HAVE CHOSEN.

THERE IS NO MORE IMPORTANT POST ON THIS SITE.

The human has no other choice. You inhabit the mental state of Empire (Superiority / Stuff / Systems & Institutions) or Kindom / Humanity (Soul, Solidarity, Service). THERE IS NO THIRD OPTION PHYSIOLOGICALLY / PSYCHOLOGICALLY POSSIBLE.

Dr. M.L. King tried to think - if I want to be "good" how can I understand what that means a bit more concretely, SO I CAN MORE DELIBERATELY FOCUS MY ENERGY / LIFE ON BEING GOOD? The following is a slight embellishment of what he conceived. He conceived that there are three dimensions of goodness and that we can deliberately and consciously choose to push ourselves, our energy and attention, further and further along each of the three dimensions and thereby become more and more of the Spirit / Goodness / Humaneness, and more and more inhabit our Mother's Kindom (Spirit of Kin-dom / world-family / Humanity). With just a few moments of contemplation you will see the fundamental Truth of this.


But being week on these dimensions does not explain a George Bush, Dick Cheney or Adolph Hitler. Hence the alternate realm / way of "being" - Empire. Empire is a function of the three dimensions of "being" opposite to those of Goodness available to the human psyche - Stuff, Superiority, Systems/Institutions. The Third Reich of Nazi Germany and those supporting it might be the easiest image for you to grasp this concept. For some of you Fascist US 2007 and those of us supporting it might be even easier.


If you are looking for me to prove this beyond my directing you to search your own experience and heart... good luck. But if you do search your experience and heart, again you will find the fundamental psychological Truth of which your life, and that of everyone you know is the proof.

I wish I had time to explore this further with you. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU EXPLORE IT FURTHER ON YOUR OWN, WITHIN YOURSELF. Do it until the point of rejection, or SELF EMPOWERMENT.

My experience these recent days is one of being deluged with final Revelations. It is way overwhelming. And I perceive that there may be just a few days before I have to leave. Today, 9/7/07 I'm looking at more than 30 posts that have started and need completion.

THESE SEPTEMBER POSTS ARE THE CULMINATION OF A LIFETIME OF SEEKING!!!!!

THEY ARE WORTH THE EFFORT BUT ONLY YOUR MOST COURAGEOUS, HIGHEST, MOST WISE AND HUMANE SPIRIT WILL MAKE ANY SENSE OF THEM.

To "RESIST" is to CONCEDE DEFEAT. GOD FORGIVE US.

I just figured out after 14 months why I am so unwelcome in what calls itself the peace movement (with the exception of Diane, Ann, Gael, Thomas, Ellen, Evan, Connie, some other Code Pinkers...)

Every cell in my body, every molecule, every atom stands for the entire DESTRUCTION OF EMPIRE (NEVER"The" Empire).

Most of the wretchedly self called "Peace Movement" HAS ALREADY CONCEDED DEFEAT. The proof:

1. The Peace Movement is NOT fighting for Victory to their (own) death, and the Military / Industrial / Governmental / Economic Elite Complex IS.
2. Look at the language!!!!! Implicit in the language is defeat, failure, concession of victory: Nonviolence, Peace (only dead things like rocks have it), RESISTANCE....

My clarity that even the most sacrificial have conceeded victory came at a recent gathering of Heroes from the Catholic Worker Movement. I asked the Saint speaking to us, veteran of 17 years prison for jack-hammering a misile silo, if Jesus intended us to "resist" or "win." "Resist" was his answer and that in the act of "resistance" we win. I am certain in my every molocule he is incorrect. Jesus absolutely saw we could win, defeat Empire within ourselves and all around the world. He died in the attempt. We've yet to follow him in fighting to the death. It was shocking to me this reply by the Saint because earlier he said that the three greatest people in history were Jesus, Gandhi, and King.

INDESPUTABLY King and Gandhi:
1. Fought to their death WIN;
2. Believed that winning world-wide was possible.

Why haven't we WON?
Because we don't follow
Jesus, King and Gandhi -
WE DON'T FIGHT
TO OUR DEATH
TO WIN.

God save our children
from our cowardice.

WHAT TO DO IN THE CASE OF CASUALTIES. THIS IS WAR.

What to do in the case of casualties? Think of what the most mutually committed marine unit does in the middle of a fight to the death:

1. They keep their eye on the mission and allow NO DISTRACTION.
2. They risk their lives beyond that to support their comrade.

#1 first! #2 when possible.

To sacrifice Mission, #1,
to help a casualty,
is to render the casualty
MEANINGLESS.
NOTHING COULD BE
MORE CRUEL.

THERE IS A "HIGHER LAW"

If there is any conceivable circumstance in which the most human, law abiding "citizen" could and would disobey "the law," THAT is absolute Proof / Truth that there IS a HIGHER LAW.

The sheer existence of Gandhi, King, Jesus, Lincoln, Buddha, Mandela, Maguire, Diane Wilson, Phil Berrigan, Dave Dellinger, Schweitzer, Bonhoeffer... is ABSOLUTE PROOF OF A HIGHER LAW.

Where is this Higher Law written? It is obvious. In the human heart / nervous system / DNA. And until we are completely inhuman, that Higher Law is what can save us from this Planetary Hell we've created.

The Higher Law is almost synonymous with the psychological complex - Conscience, Heart, Love (Agape), Compassion, Empathy, Wisdom....

NECESSITY TO NON-SUBORDINATE TO EMPIRE "LAW"

It is entirely necessary to not cooperate with the sentence of Empire Law when it inflicts gross penalty against Kindom Law - of God / Good / What is Right...

MORE INSIGHTFULLY - such non cooperation including refusal of self defense (legal or brutal physical attacks), mobility (walking), eating and water gives the sisters and brothers of the system, and all onlookers huge evidence of how evil Empire is. Think of the crucifixion of Jesus.
