 As near as I could tell from Google Maps there were no houses on this dirt road. About an hour after being here car drove by. Half an hour later a young woman with her three dogs appeared oh, Karen. If you need anything we are in a house a mile up the road, don't hesitate to come up. Oh my goodness what a nice Soul. Stay as long as you want! We had a lovely chat. I expect we'll be gone in the morning. Magnificent place. Extreme difficulty, pain, in walking, after being beaten to a pulp by Katahdin several days ago. But we can cycle. The mission goes on.

I have few regrets, but not telling this man thanks years ago is one.

 He was the gym teacher in middle school and track coach in high school and he was always decent to me and that made all the difference period

People of extreme social intelligence...

 Those of extreme social intelligence, Clinton, Cuomo... Others like them on the global stage or in the hometown, they might not even have the ability to see that they are exploiters, parasites, a cancer on the healthy body.

I had forgotten, doing good in the world can only help.

 And my entire adulthood has been spent doing that in different ways, giving everything I had, not taking the credit of others, not stealing the spotlight, doing the minute-by-minute work of contributing to the lives of others. Not manipulating and exploiting others for my selfish ends, is almost all of us do. I have been and remain a doer, not a taker. I wouldn't have it any other way. That's where the joy is. But a lot of hurt and being used too. And that makes me feel better. And maybe give me some idea of a path out of this Gloom.

Narcissists are Masters at using people and gaslighting them sometimes on a global or lifelong scale.
