Too often I have failed you, though I am learning, I have failed you by enabling Tendencies to not focus on important work that no credit to me I'm involved with by incessant reminders to you and by posting on all too easily available entertaining Facebook. I have been moving in the right direction and I anticipate that will continue, that is, more and more my posts will be only on my blog. On the right hand side there is a small window where one's email address can be placed for an Anonymous daily summary of posts to that site. If there is anything about this you don't understand and you care to ask please let me know. By the way, within days or even hours of having access to wifi, in about a week, if not before, this blog will be transformed into a repository for the restart of Jesus Quest, establishing his religion of loving Spirit of goodness in action ism, if Creator intends to grant me the time and Life to be a catalyst for this.

If democracy is contaminated by poisonous elements its therapeutic power largely evaporates. Most of the democracies, in fact, have..... been of this low-grade, contaminated variety. Beginning with the Athenian democracy and ending with the Dutch, the English, the French, the Belgian, and even the United States democracy before the abolition of slavery, each of these systems was actually a small oligarchy built upon a vast stratum of slaves, serfs, and exploited, disfranchised, and autocratically ruled colonial Helots. Some twenty thousand Athenians constituted an oligarchic minority superimposed on several hundreds of thousands of unfree or semi-free persons deprived of practically all political and most civil rights. Some thirty to forty millions of English citizens formed a small oligarchy superimposed upon approximately three hundred million disfranchised colonials. The same is true of some six millions of Dutch citizens compared with approximately sixty million colonial semi-serfs; and so on. Similarly, virtually all the democracies of history have been vitiated by many other elements incompatible with the essence of genuine democracy.

Outlook. Tonight and tomorrow morning are expected to be rain. Today was occasional drops of rain. To the gladness of some, this will slow down work heavily outlined in posts today. Confession. The 14 days that I am allotted here in this National Park expired several days ago although this current stretch, 14 days tomorrow on the face of it seems to be admissible. With great effort I could extricate myself tomorrow with the help of friends and possibly a spare motor will arrive tonight. But I am going to use as an excuse, may be valid, that the motor is insufficient power to move this heavy vehicle safely around this area and hence I will try and stay here for quite a few more days until the repaired motor arrives from Canada. Unlike many, unfortunately, very unfortunately, unlike many who stay in this Hidden Valley Campground I pay my way everyday. Some and maybe most take advantage of the fact of a delay in transfer of envelopes and do not pay. This is really evil abuse. Extremely immoral and sad. But again, confession time, I am certainly violating the rules by staying here. But I deem the work I am doing of sacred potential value to maybe some other human being and maybe more than one, and now that I have found where I can reliably get internet, this is a sacred Place, uniquely suited in many aspects, for this work to continue for some number of days now. So I will attempt to do so with the help of friends who may be bringing me food. And water. Kyle Gaulke and if this works out, in my ignorance, I wait in Glad anticipation of what the desert may do in responding to tomorrow morning's rain. In fact the tiny sprinkling of today and maybe early yesterday morning I believe I am seeing Green in the desert that I did not see before.
Put 2. Dave Schwenk messenger dialogue today
Dave Schwenk messenger dialogue today
Dave: Hi James, I love the stories and getting back to Tolstoy. Thanks so much for this gift. Reading the letters now. Quite excited about it. I thoroughly enjoyed Pursuit of Happiness. Tolstoy conveys such wisdom in simple and quite artistic tales. The images of the shoemaker looking out his window at the passing shoes...what a great portrayal of our mission. Interesting that he fixes shoes. Helps people continue on their way, does a fair job...that God is in all of them, and very much in those who suffer. I think when we make that leap of faith, that conviction that this is the correct way for our world, then all else must somehow fall into place...it is the path of the true warrior.
James: rarely have I been moved with such gladness as in reading your note and then sensing that for the moment at least you are alongside me and I alongside you in this journey at this moment
despite all this study these recent weeks I woke up in the middle of the night realizing I had not a clue of what to do with my life it was very distressing
and then within an hour quite unexpected I'm quite sure I saw what the rest of my hours days weeks years will consist of and I'll be posting of that today creator willing please watch carefully
Dave: It is wonderful to share the journey, James. I am glad my words had some impact on you. I am growing convinced the only way out is through absolute adherence to the principle of service to others/nonviolence/love/disruption of the capitalist beast. The time is now. I prepare myself for the journey. You are leading me to literature and thoughts that must be guided through the love of goodness and teachings of Jesus and Krishna and most religions -- as Gandhi stated they all carry the same message. I have always felt you appeared in my life for a reason and I singled you out as probably the most important person to learn from on that DS march. I feel the need for a retreat into the woods or somewhere for meditation before charting my course...look forward to reading about your vision today.
James: I am so glad when your comments are on Facebook because this dialogue is important to be available to others. I read your comment above with immense gladness and great trepidation. Without the gladness and respect I would not feel the trepidation. What you're saying would not matter to me but it does. No credit to you I think that you matter right now. So I will be blunt and speak the truth until I determine it is unwelcome from you. The truth as I see it Of course. But wirh that qualification I don't mean to diminish, I have spent decades attempting to see the truth and I experience that I've gotten closer than most.
.
The profound Revelation that I saw in these letters between Tolstoy and Gandhi and the letter to a Hindu was both of them articulating what I have never before seen clearly articulated before from any of them. I guess I remember King alluding to it several times. The purpose for them of nonviolent action was to reestablish the Beloved Community, not in form although form would possibly follow, but in spirit. This has what has been f****** totally lacking from so-called nonviolent actions ever since King was murdered by the system, probably CIA at the direction of the administration and the evil powers that be in presence of the insane irresponsibilities of we citizens.
So-called nonviolent action has been turned into a weapon used by the flesh to establish desirable fleshly conditions. How many centuries have to go by before we face that this is treating the symptom and not the disease? In his early years of fighting King probably evidenced this better than anyone I can think of including Gandhi. Then he lost his way and figured that material conditions were the immediate goal, rather than the consequence of Beloved Community established. And possibly material conditions are the ultimate goal as is getting rid of a temperature of 106 in a dying child a goal but it is not the central goal. Curing the disease of the child is the goal. We cannot, must not, absolutely must not with any breath lose focus on the disease which is the absence of the loving Spirit of goodness in action in the heart of men. To me this was the brilliant expression in this exchange between Gandhi and King that I have never put into words before. Please try and hear deeply what I'm saying, if that is at all desirable, not that you would agree but that you could see clearly what I'm trying to express.
I cannot stop at the moment to proof read these comments but maybe in an hour.
Dave: Yes. Because people are willing to be a rebel on Saturday and a slave Monday to Friday and see no damage in that. I appreciate and welcome your honesty. I drift in thoughts and imagination when inspired by others so it is very helpful to have someone sharing with me…
James: As tantalizing as it is we cannot must not absolutely must not make our goal stopping the corporate state. Because that will distract us from the only thing that could stop the corporate state, every breath going toward expanding the spirit of loving goodness, the loving Spirit of Goodness in action, in the heart of people. We must now allow no breath within ourselves to deviate from that, and I shall not.
Dave: I do see that of what you write and know it in my heart.
James: I am dictating this as I walk to the spot where I have found Fairly reliable internet at which I should be in about 15 minutes.
Dave: I agree with that assessment and am adjusting to that reality -- the goal cannot be focused on just defeating the corporate state. That would be the ultimate outcome of opening the hearts of people. Let the acts of goodness speak for themselves and have faith in the wisdom of those like Gandhi, Tolstoy, King, and Jesus who came before us…
James: in a moment I'll be able to stop and read your recent comments I have not read a word yet because I'm walking. but please bear that in mind as I share this thought Jesus was primarily motivated because of the misery created by the Roman Empire crushing those already in misery in its way. Jesus the seed crystal for the greatest agents of change we have ever seen Tolstoy Gandhi King Schweitzer and a few others. Jesus never advocated or acted himself for political change or material change in the environment. He worked for a change within the hearts of Human beings. Should Jesus be blindly followed? No one and nothing should be blindly followed. Even the loving Spirit of goodness within us. But if we are not totally completely absolutely humble in the face of the greatest inspiration that humankind has yet had, the man Jesus and those like him, then we are nothing, no hope, not serious.
Dave: I agree with that
James: All I look for in dialogue with others is an honest search for the truth, not my truth, not their truth, but the truth which can be better found when serious hearts are searching for it together then when any individual is left to their own device.
It is with great gladness and relief that I read your two or three comments above.
What I said I would be writing of I will identify for you now and unfold this morning I hope. And then for the rest of my days I expect to be unfolding it with my deeds and words more fully that others might share in if they like. In fact, if it is not a collaboration of which I am the keeper until I find someone more able, then it will certainly make no difference but I will try anyway.
I don't know what I am. But I think I am the type of being that a Francis of Assisi was. And we're told, I think in truth, that he heard a call that I presume he did not understand but he attempted to follow, build my church. As I say I woke in the middle of the night so desperately frustrated that after weeks I was totally clueless as to what I should do with my life, how I could be of any service to Creation. And then, obvious now that I think of it after reading the exchange between Gandhi and Tolstoy, particularly Tolstoy letter to a Hindu, the call I received was, James, resume my work and that of others mentioned in tolstoy's letter to a Hindu, resume the work of building my church, and the best I can think to name that church which I think is important, that religion, is loving Spirit of Goodness-ism. This call from Jesus, the spirit of Jesus. Never any words. I never get words in this type of thing. What I get is the fully-formed concept. Certainly nothing I anticipated or crafted.
And that church, the Temple of that religion, is totally and only, exclusively, each individual in which that Spirit, the loving Spirit of Goodness in action, is embodied with every breath. This is what Jesus set out to do, nothing more, nothing less, nothing else.
Dave: I am thrilled to hear of the call. It is a product of your intense study and sharing over the last weeks/months/years...I am anxious to hear more...I started the following words before receiving your latest messages, so please excuse if things seem to jump back and forth, but that is what happens in messenger...Are you familiar with Rev. Barber from North Carolina? I worked with him some in 2016. He is the real deal. He is launching a Poor People's Campaign in the vein of Martin Luther King. Rev. Barber speaks from the high grounds of moral justice and deeds. He is first and foremost about action about helping the poor and oppressed, service to others, love, community...he has been at it since he was a child and faced abuse as one of the first black children in a desegregated school in NC. I highly recommend reading his book, The Third Reconstruction: How a moral Movement is Overcoming the Politics of Division and Fear. If you have a way to download it, I will buy it for you.
James: I'm quite sure that if I have any assets one of them is having to learned discipline Within Myself the ability to see truth that I might otherwise be hesitant or not Desiring to see. This comes to mind with Reverend Barber, by full disclosure. Dave had just urged me to read his book. I'll call him Barber, I don't like titles, I detest titles, they are the thing of Empire, profoundly destructive. Throughout my adulthood my spirit has been tuned, no credit to me, to be extremely sensitive to those spirits that are, I'll say, of creator, of the loving Spirit of goodness, and those that are not. In business oddly I was trained by my own trial and error to be attuned to this without those words to find those who with me could work what I thought were important miracles to work in businesses, which regularly happened as a consequence of my catalytic role. As I glanced in the direction of Barber I havd hoped to find such a spirit, to sense such a spirit, and I have not. But I cannot afford, and do not want to afford, to ignore or discount you at this point. Hopefully I will find the book on Amazon Kindle in which case I can download it almost immediately delayed only by my ability to get WiFi so that I can download the windows version and crack it so I can have it read to me. So it might be a week before I can start but then I will make it a priority until such time as I discover that I was wrong and it is of the spirit or that I was correct and it is not of the spirit as I see it. I will be utterly thrilled to discover that I was mistaken. We desperately need living Saints today by whatever Creed or none. Ultimately, the only way to cure the disease is enough living Saints, what we are all born to be, the children of Creator, the embodiment Every Breath of Creator spirit.
I suspect that I want to today almost immediately publish our dialogue in part or in full on my blog and more clearly on Facebook that others might / take. Please tell me if you object.
Dave: I do not object.
{ Dave strongly urged that I read a book by William Barber a minister activist in South Carolina. He offered to buy it for me which was very kind. I indicated that logistic Lee that wouldn't work but that I do accept donations. This followed from that. He indicated that he would be doing so.}
James: Gandhi said of himself, and I take him to be an honest person, he said of himself that he was the most cowardly individual on Earth, paraphrase. I experienced myself the same way. When I was a child I knew that I would much rather die than experience pain including the psychological and physical pain of material deprivation. My Hardware hasn't changed and probably not my software overall since that time. But my understanding of life, of where Joy is to be found, is something I did not anticipate profoundly changing for me. And as I have honed my ability to see opportunities for joy, and to pursue those, they have transcended what otherwise was the paralyzing fear of my fleshly and mental spirit. I don't know if everyone can find the same path, but I know that it is a path available to some, I am too greedy not to walk it myself, and to improve my ability to do so, and I am too greedy to not try and illuminate the path for maybe someone else now or in the future. This has been and will continue to be the focus of my each breath.
Dave: It helps to hear of the difficulties you face(d) and the inner conflict you overcame. This aids others like me.
James: This comes to mind as I think of anyone providing a donation. I haven't any desire but to use any penny at my disposal towards the goals discussed in this dialogue. This is amazing to me. I was the most selfish, but physically selfish, uninformed individual for most of my decades. I simply have become more enlightened greedy. I'm not perfect at this but I think I'm near perfect at it. This enlightened greed. One possible exception is when I was at a campground near Yucca Valley there was a $8 per day lunch, or $10 per day dinner at a all you can eat Chinese buffet. I understand these buffets as medicine for my body, loads of vegetables, healthy starches, fruit. And I would make this my one meal for the day. I can't be sure that I needed to go there every day. That may have been selfish Indulgence, so small I'm not particularly concerned but I am aware. If I ever try to afford myself the luxury of being perfect, as I'm afraid I find many prior religious greats attempting to be, then I have ceased being any hope. The purpose of Our Lives needs to be helping others, not some spiritual masturbation of personal perfection.
<3. Thank you for the encouraging words about my sharing. A major discouragement in recent years has been realizing the truth expressed by Jesus that I have never wanted to face, that the gate is narrow and few will enter in. I suspect I will never have the wisdom or courage to fully accept his position on this though all of history says that he is correct. But to your point about the helpfulness of me sharing my own walk, the reason I do so is, I am not convinced that my nervous system is so different than anyone else. And clearly Jesus and Gandhi and Tolstoy had a similar perception, that in finding the path for themselves that it could be relevant to the nervous system of some other people.
LOL. Let's try and stay on Facebook as much as possible so this dialogue can be shared.
Dave: Yes, I call it that as well, spiritual masturbation...the poet William Blake wrote in The Marriage of Heaven and Hell, "Improvement makes strait roads, but the crooked roads without Improvement, are roads of genius."
Ok, we can get back to FB, Yes, your path is very relevant to other people
James: <3. I don't think this is over emphasizing or over acknowledgement. Look how expensive in terms of time the dialogue you and I are having today is. It is true of my entire adulthood that my only interest is in trying to be a piece, a catalyst, for an impossible miracle that needs to happen for the lives of many people. It is unlikely that will ever change for me. I live only for the largest emergency I can try and address. That is the only place I find life, joy, the ability to keep going in the face of such virtually total harror and evil on 2018 earth. Therefore I value each second, each breath, the way most people value $1,000. This is not an exaggeration. My point being, for me, this dialogue today is extremely expensive and way more than valuable enough to justify the expense. It is a tremendous gift.
Dave: I feel the same. I threw all else aside for this. Gladly. Nothing is more important, and you are helping me in a time of spiritual conflict and yearning.
Dave Schwenk Facebook dialog....
From this profoundly important post and the comments within it from Facebook: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10213117399882543&id=1620551416
Dave Swank: James Mcginley I love the Tolstoy farm referred to in the forward, which "Gandhi viewed as a centre of spiritual purification and penance for the final campaign — a campaign Gandhi feared might
never have carried the day were it not for the Tolstoy Farm. The Farm was an ethical/social experiment in communal living"...that inspires me to imagine a place for spiritual purification now. Creating detox camps for deprogramming from the permanent lie of American Empire and then building our spiritual conviction into the strength needed for what is required of us -- the light of goodness and kind acts combined with a fierce offensive against the global elites destroying our planet. We have to be ready to die. Who is ready to answer that call now? People can't just jump from one reality to another in a matter of days and give up the comforts they've been trained all their lives to covet, and then to fight for something they haven't given much of a thought. But if we had three or four months of retreat and education and unplugging from the machine to offer -- a stripping away of the illusions that prevent us from absorbing the absolute horror of our current predicament and trajectory -- coupled with creative planning for disrupting the raping of our planet, we just may become the powerful warriors we need today. The battle ahead dwarfs all of human history, yet where is the urgency? How many truly and deeply understand Martin Luther King when he says "if a man has not discovered something that he will die for, he isn't fit to live." I am not yet there but I am getting closer...imagine if we had a retreat where refugees of the capitalist nightmare could go for deprogramming and meditation, where they could discover the unity of all life and heal their souls in woods or deserts, where they could come to know what was worth dying for...and what would then deliver new life...and then emerge from this retreat prepared to sacrifice all for our children our planet our people. One hundred such committed warriors could strike fear into the hearts of our pampered and cancerous elite. One thousand could shut down banks, strip mines, pipelines and refineries. Ten thousand could disrupt Washington and 100,000 at the mansions of the Koch Brothers, Rex Tillerson, Warren Buffett, Jamie Dimon, and Paul Ryan would begin the revolution to kill capitalism before it kills us.
Dave: And I don't imply any violence in that last sentence. I mean attacking capitalism and confronting the people killing us all, face to face so they know us and understand we will tolerate it no longer. Pay them all a visit or two…
Jamas: I think this may be redundant, my comment, because I think our dialogue may have moved his past this, but just in case, I did not understand you to be advocating physical violence. So my passionate warning about your comment was not with respect to some Specter of physical violence. The passion was entirely from the prospect of a lost breath, or two lost breaths. To take the example a little bit too far, grant me that license, every second that I mistakenly spend on trying to reduce the fever of my dying child is a second I have lost to cure the disease causing the fever. Whether it is saving the world which I think is a gift to us that objectively we should forget, even though it may be Savage, indeed, we should afford ousself that luxury to forget saving the world and focus 100% on saving our own Souls, finding the courage to ignore how such words, saving Souls, have been bastardized, to create of our souls what is born in every infant to be, the host of pure loving Spirit of Goodness, that we thereby do the most good we possibly can, becoming the Cure ourselves.
And in doing so absolutely do so with the purpose of saving the world just as the medical team is mobilized to their limit to save the child but wasting not one second, not one breath, on the fever, the symptom.
But I speak a little too hastily. Our focus should be secondarily on saving the world, but we should be able to find every bit of motivation, urgency, speed, we need with the thought that the best we can do might be just to save one additional soul from an existence without the Supreme Joy of incarnating the loving Spirit of goodness in action.
I wonder if you have any idea, you probably do, I think you've alluded to experiencing it yourself, how incredibly helpful it is to be in dialogue with you at this moment, with someone seriously searching in similar directions. An incredible blessing.
I have every reason to think that this will not continue with you. That is not a reflection on you it is a reflection on my life experience. Never have I found a partner that was long term but thankfully many short-term partners. I pray for the reverse, but all I know is that at the moment this is profoundly helpful. When the call came this morning I realized that it probably would make zero impact, that it would impact no one beside myself, which is all ultimately I'm responsible for doing, making a tool to live my own life is helpful as possible. But I also realized, as I think I alluded earlier today, that I yearn to be the keeper of, the Catalyst for, building this religion, rather, building the fertile ground, the open source tools for building the hot house for this religion, the loving Spirit of goodness in action ism. There will never be any breath where that is not my desire and where I will not pay whatever personal price is called from me to cause that collaboration with others to happen. And in doing so I will be as responsible and even ruthless as this all important mission for creation is. It will be stillborn otherwise, if it is not an ongoing collaboration with the world's most serious Souls, but again I will continue the effort if largely or totally alone if only to guide my own life.
Dave: Yes, this dialogue is confirming the direction of my thoughts and providing me with clear insight into our purpose in this dying world. I believe the final collapse is well under way. Current events show this in apocalyptic visions of fire and ice and nature reducing man's arrogance to rubble. We need a miracle. So I struggled all fall to choose the way forward, considering devoting all my time to fighting pipelines in PA, or building community centers of resistance and sustainable living. I even thought of walking across the country in search of a few kindred souls who would help me lay siege to Washington...all striving, all turning up little that resonated in my heart. I follow James Mcginley closely, for he is one of the few -- two, three? -- that I have met who has devoted himself totally to goodness and justice and walking the talk, or riding the bike as James is doing...all true revolutionaries are wandering refugees and exiles... it is no mystery that I have been led back to dialogue with James. I met him on the Democracy Spring walk in 2016 and later showed up at his modest flat in DC some months later to learn more and share. Among discussions of Gandhi and King, James articulated my disappointment with marches/staged arrests, etc. and my sense of how the left played into the hands of the power elite. I fear so much of the way the "resistance" is structured now does not provide a viable path to transcendence from our miserable state. There is a fundamental flaw that is never addressed -- the moral dilemma of living in our modern world, shackled as we are to products and consumption that perpetuate horrific suffering. Our current predatory system could never exist without our participation. Just look how vicious the oligarchs become when we threaten their flow of money, as the BDS Movement boycotting Israel has shown. Not only have they told us it is illegal to boycott (consider the implications of that for a moment), but they have now banned 20 organizations from Israel, including our dear friends at Codepink. These dear people are the spirit of peace. Why are they such a threat to Israel? Ladies dressed in pink? Because they have advanced an agenda of non-participation, BDS movement, that denies the system of our complicit guilt. Another incident that infuriated the architects of our false reality is when Colin Kaepernik took a knee and challenged the symbols of our empire...when people no longer believe in the bullshit of the flag the whole fucking thing will collapse. And this from a black man! They devote so much energy into the illusion of freedom and democracy -- into the illusion that elections matter and that demonstrations without sacrifice will change the world -- because the continuation of crony capitalism depends on our suspended belief. So back to my point...we must accept the reality of our situation and what it demands of us. We cannot be rebels on the weekend and slaves to our consumer society all week. We are at that critical existential moment of end times where the forces of good and evil are clearly felt to anyone with a heart. It is all or nothing time. No one wants to face that or the implications involved with that. Face it now and build your spiritual strength or perish in the collapse. I was directed to Krishna in October for a reason and the Bhagavad Gita...I turned again to the life of Jesus, which I have studied throughout my life...and James led me to these writings between Gandhi and Tolstoy. And the message is clear: embrace goodness, love, selflessness, service to others. That is the sole mission we must do to be a ray of light in this world. So many of us despair at the suffering we see and our powerlessness to do anything about it -- without realizing that the power is within our hearts, and that once we surrender completely to goodness and love, once we abandon the failed institutions and permanent lies that secure us to the decks of this sinking ship, when we do that, we create the conditions for the miracle to happen. Surely, we need a miracle now. But that is beyond me. I will continue to resist and continue to disrupt pipelines and the pageantry, but I know that the true way forward -- for me -- is renunciation of this sick society, a total severance that can be achieved through exile and simple living and our own self-sustaining communities. This is long and rambling but I wanted to share my experience and how liberating this knowledge is for me -- I have far to go but I know the path. Once I give it all up -- and how painful that can be, the comforts, the illusions, the protests of my ego -- I believe I will find liberation and nothing to fear. I know this in my heart. If you made it this far, thank you.
James Mcginley thanks for those words in your message about short-term partners. I understand and accept what will be, but I know my path keeps drawing me back to you for a reason. Thanks for sharing so much. It gives me strength, inspiration, and light in these dark days.
James: Dave Schwenk, your words are filled with such truth in this comment above and so beautifully stated that it brings great emotion to me. With one profound exception, please don't take this personally. It can be done, renunciation, Gandhi did it, but it is not our nature to renounce. I will fight that in what I see as otherwise promising efforts including Within Myself with all of my strength. And this is not a problem, only falling into the Trap as a problem. It is within our nature to greedily go for the optimal experience that we know to go for. In fact, this seems to be an immutable law, we cannot do otherwise then go for each breast being as experientially optimal as possible. We absolutely can have the renunciation that you want, my life is a testament to that and I’d have thought it impossible. But never ever could I have done it through an attempt to renounce. The consequences has been to renounce! What I have attempted to do is greedily understand where Joy comes from. It comes from the opposite direction of pleasure. And every breath, regardless of material circumstance, Joy feels preferable to pleasure. This explains Jesus going to and being on the cross. This alone explains Gandhi saying, do you not know that I am never so joyful as when I am suffering for my fellow-creatures? Paraphrase. This explains Martin Luther King Jr saying, she who does not know what she would gladly die for is not equipped to live. Paraphrase. And as best I can now described the north star of causing my body to produce the chemical reaction of joy, it is to fully embody the loving Spirit of goodness in action. I will now post your beautiful words on my blog and Facebook page with this disclaimer. As always if I take Liberties it is never intentional just let me know and I will remove.
Dave: James I thought of this point while I was writing, because you raised this distinction before with the same conviction. I am thinking on it. I so much welcome your comments. They lead me to consider different perspectives and can save me a lot of mistakes. I hope you will remain open to my feedback.
James: If Ever I for any breath am not open to your feedback I have ceased being of any hope to my own life or to anyone else's. I understand myself, I experience myself as being willing to pay any and every personal price to grasp the essential truths as quickly as possible and as fully as possible. Whatever pain of ego or physical body might be involved is irrelevant to me and this has been true for many many many years. As I experience myself.
. I expect to be going through and editing our dialogue before my voice typing errors through the course of this afternoon and posting on my blog and Facebook page in summary
My life's work now..... Religion of, Loving Spirit in Action ism....
Proliferating, developing, substantiating with knowledge developed these last two thousand years, Jesus religion of, Loving Spirit in Action-ism, I suspect will consume every breath of mine till I have no breath left now. Rather, spearheading an effort, attempting to be Catalyst in an effort, keeper of an effort but not owner, 2 pick up where Jesus and his earliest followers, and the creator of most of the world's great religions, see the all-important Tolstoy letter to a Hindu, is what I will be doing with each breath I'm quite sure. And to embody. Example is not the major thing in influencing people, it is the only thing. Albert Schweitzer.
My life's call may have come today. As Francis of Assisi heard the call to rebuild the church , I have heard the call at midnight to pick up the work that Jesus and a few of his followers, extremely few, began of developing and spreading his religion which I think I understand is called something like, Loving Spirit of Goodness in Action-ism.
Today is such an explosive creative Avalanche for me that among other things I may be having some redundant posting here on the blog and or on Facebook. I must run that risk.
And as your loving brother, in responsibility, I suggest to you that you stop whatever you're doing and you follow closely on my Facebook page and subscribe to my blog right hand side for the free Anonymous daily summary of posts. There, I've done my part. The rest is up to you.
And yes, some of you will receive a periodic reminder from me as you have. Though this will be less and less. One of the most painful lessons that life keeps keeps teaching me is that I hurt possibilities for the future when I enable the reticent Behavior even among, maybe especially among, those in whom I see the most promise. I am everyone's brother, especially the most promising that I see, I am not their mother.
Although I'm constrained a bit at the moment, thankfully I found internet here in the desert with a mile hike each way, but I do not have access to WiFi which I would need for my laptop to be useful. Point being that much of the initial creative work will occur at the blog, but greatly hampered until in a week from now I have WiFi and laptop, that was created by me more than 10 years ago with an interesting title, rather an interesting URL which is long and cumbersome, Jesus God good Etc and Jay. Jay being the name I was called for most of my decades. This is the riddle that I was tantalized with the blog that long ago. The relationship between God and good and Jay. Only in the last couple of days as the word good, and goodness, have rocketed to the north star that I think we all need to find and that Jesus was trying to point us to and the other great religious leaders, only in the last couple of days has the puzzle of that URL begun to come clear to me. Life is interesting. God is good. Good is God. The spirit of loving goodness, loving the spirit of goodness, he is loving God. Loving the spirit of goodness in action is the only worship of God that God wants. It is the only true worship of God, creator. This is so obvious. How is it taking me 66 years to see the clarity, though my heart has been pushing me in this direction since my earliest memories.

that has unfolded in particular today and I urge you to Avail yourself of it. Much of it is encapsulated eloquently with my correspondent of today, Dave Schwenk , below with an important caveat that I mentioned below his long an eloquent comment.
From Dave just now: This dialogue is confirming the direction of my thoughts and providing me with clear insight into our purpose in this dying world.
My crucial comment in caveat:
Dave Schwenk, your words are filled with such truth in this comment above and so beautifully stated that it brings great emotion to me. With one profound exception, please don't take this personally. It can be done, Gandhi did it, but it is not our nature to renounce. I will fight that in what I see as otherwise promising efforts including Within Myself with all of my strength. And this is not a problem, only falling into the Trap as a problem. It is within our nature to greedily go for the optimal experience that we know to go for. We absolutely can have the renunciation that you want, my life is a testament to that and I'd have thought it impossible. But never ever could I have done it through an attempt to renounce. The consequence has been to renounce! What I have attempted to do is greedily understand where Joy comes from, Roy Bean the ultimate human Experience, emotion. It comes from the opposite direction of pleasure.
Article, Trump's plan to send Salvadorans to their death. My comment, I hope, with every fiber of my being, that one of two things happens immediately. The heart of Americans awaken and millions of people pay whatever price personally it takes to stop this vile creature and our vile selfish culture, or, that we, and regrettably, the human species, vanish from the universe immediately

Dietrich Bonhoeffer from inside the horror of Nazi Germany before they murdered him for trying to kill Hitler. Excerpts from his letters from prison. Link here
This is a site that I put up 10 years ago. Bonhoeffer was a supreme intellect and soul facing the unimaginable horrors of Nazi Germany from inside the belly of the Beast where he had placed himself and was killed for attempting to assassinate Hitler. A surprising thing for this Lutheran scholar and Minister acclaimed around the world. Anyone serious about being a constructive force in this dying 2018 World being murdered by sociopaths as we sit Spellbound can scarcely afford not to understand what this supreme intellect came to understand and share with us from prison prior to his murder. http://bonhoefferlettersexcerpt.blogspot.com/2007/09/essay-beginning-letters-and-papers-from.html?m=1
My life's discovery, and contribution just now.
The first part of the following first appeared on my Facebook page. The second part will not be added to my Facebook page for the same reason that I implore you to read the extremely short booklet at the link mentioned below before you read part two of this post also below. It is very important that my thoughts not in any way Cloud the reading of this the most important document that I've ever read. Just within the last couple of days although I've had it on my computer for years.
FB post yesterday:
Please read this comment. I believe it is true for me to say that although not infrequently recently I have posted and tagged some of you in whom I have the greatest hope with readings that I am finding particularly important for those that would like to see a better world. It is true I think that never have I asked you to read it, or very very rarely. I have simply brought to your attention. Well I have just completed a very short document, these letters, and in my 20 years intensive study and practice trying to find the path to true Revolution toward a better world this is the most insightful important document that I have come across. It is the root of Tolstoy s writing, I thought it was Jesus gospels, but it is far more broad than that, and it is the root on which Gandhi built his life. And I find it not immature for either of them but rather the seed Crystal that is more important than anything that came afterward. So unlike fryer times that I have tagged you I am asking as a fellow traveler with you in whom I have any hope that you will read this almost immediately. If you haven't the time skim through about 2/3 of the way and find the letter to a Hindu written by Tolstoy. And read that. But if you are not exceedingly strapped for time start at the beginning of this document and read all the way through. I suggest that if there is a Manifesto for the true revolution of saving some small portions of what is left on Earth this is the closest that has been written. I do not find it perfect. I see one major flaw though of course it could be a flaw in me. But I see one major flaw and I believe I see how to fix it, with substituting just one word for another. I will share what I mean, Creator willing, in a day or so in a comment to this post which I think will be brought to your attention by Facebook automatically. Those tagged here will automatically receive a notice that I have left a comment. I simply don't want to Cloud your reading of this document and I will say that if lightning strikes or a boulder rolls down onto my tent which is not impossible that this document will have brought you as far as any document can bring us to seeing how we should go forward, including some of the resources that we should be tapping much more deeply from Tolstoy and Gandhi. And from the likes of John Ruskin who was an Inseparable seed for both Tolstoy and Gandhi.
The most important documents, a booklet, but I have ever yet read . At this link look to the left in the middle where it says click to read and you will get a download option. http://bsmurthy.com/mahatma_gandhi.html
Part two. Please please do not read further until you have read and deeply pondered the booklet at the link above.
......
The following I suspect is the reason I was born, the discovery, the contribution to humanity, if no one even ever knows it. It certainly I expect to be the Cornerstone of the rest of my life's work.
Above where I asked to read everything at the above link I mentioned with some hesitation that although this document is the most important I have ever read of a mountain of important items these last 20 years it has one I termed I think flaw and I would say a fatal flaw. Yes I am no one compared to these towering historical figures.
Yet I stand by what I say and more importantly I'll say that as I try to inform my own walk in this unstoppably dying 2018 World I find in the document of the above link near perfection, but a fatal flaw, easily corrected by me for informing my walk and then it is near perfect for the purpose of informing my walk.
If in nearly every instance within these letters I replace the word love with goodness or the phrase love of goodness then for me if becomes a virtually perfect document for informing my path forward.
Isn't that curious? For years I identified myself as start loving or more specifically loving. I am glad that in 2007 the words start loving and wage love were tattooed on my face. I am glad for those words and how the concepts were propelling me centrally before and ever since in my life.
Yet I think that if Gandhi and Tolstoy, two profound influences on me these last 20 years and before, if they were reading this document or in dialogue with me would be agreeing that I am correct.
It is also possible that they would be me a heretic, lovingly of course, but I think they would see that I am correct.
When I thought that they world could be saved by me or anyone and this is as recently as a year ago my view was that awakened loving was sufficient to propel enough individuals to save the world. And in fact that may have been a correct calculation.
What was a misunderstanding or a missed judgement on my part was that there were enough people with enough love left at least in embryonic form that that love could be awakened and clearly the last 20 years has demonstrated to me without exception that this is not the case.
But how to move forward in a world that by every objective measure cannot be saved will not say that self? For me I find that love could probably enable me to continue stumbling forward but not with any significant force or passion or clarity. But the value that to my surprise I suddenly find supreme within me, goodness, goodness in the world, all of the words and expectations and instincts of Tolstoy and Gandhi fall into place for me with a level of clarity and completeness and sufficiency I’ve not had before!
Even in a world that can't be saved yes I love goodness in the world way more than my life, comfort, safety, happiness. I love it more than justice and truth though they are always integral to love and goodness. And maybe most importantly and hopefully I love it more than the life of others when a choice must be made!
I think that left alone love as a concept is insufficient for all but a Gandhi or Tolstoy it seems to be able to avoid all or most use of what they deem violence.
In fact I think it is a destructive fetish on the part of both Tolstoy and Gandhi, a Blindness, that they wish to have a law that is immutable. That is nothing Organic. That is clearly not within the human being regardless of culture or as far back in history is we wish to go.
But the capacity to love goodness which once in this document above Gandhi said was God, God was goodness, the capacity to love goodness as a Supreme value I find as the best expression yet of what my entire nervous system seems to have been gravitating towards since my earliest years and I think Tolstoy and Gandhi would agree as would Krishna and other religious leaders throughout history that this is not unique to me!
Whereas they have all used the word love centrally, and occasionally goodness, I think they would all agree where they participating in this dialogue that goodness in fact is what they were trying to move toward. I think they would agree now that God is not truth, love, life, although these are inherent elements, but that Goodness is God and God is Goodness.
As a side note I think both Tolstoy and Gandhi take a Liberty or indulge themselves in a way that is unsupportable and self defeating in suggesting that to shoot someone about to bludgeon a child is violence and violating the law of Love!
Well, as they desperately search for something which is not there in an immutable law of love and as they crippled themselves by using love as opposed to love of goodness they blind themselves to the truth and fall into the trap of searching for this immutable law. Part of their trap is to equate violence with you so physical force! To me this is obvious rubbish. That says that someone should not have a cancer operation, an operation which obviously is using force against a life form.
They both defend not killing someone who appears to be about to brutalize a child on the basis that to do so is violence and more particularly violating the law of doing to others all that you would have them do unto you. Well I would love to ask them if they see it differently than me that I would want to be shot before I brutalized a child. I would I absolutely would. Shooting me before I did such a thing, that's not violence! Violence is violating what is good, violating what is right. To kill me before I harm a child is good! This is obvious.
At the onset I mentioned that their flaw is self defeating obviously, and by obviously I mean that it has been 100 years and the world is moving away from the law they said exists in nature and that could be imposed by awakening it in the soul of an ever increasing number people. In a world that is rapidly destroying itself and that cannot be stopped I'm afraid we’ll never have the opportunity to prove that the world could have saved itself had they understood from Tolstoy and Gandhi not that law love is the ultimate value but that goodness is the ultimate value.
But I do suggest that for myself and I think for the one in a million with enough of their soul left, that were they to search long and hard inside themselves they would eventually find that like I they would realize, discover, that goodness is their ultimate value, that goodness is what gives them the ultimate gratification, in its existence, and in their personal pursuit of it in the world. I do suggest that they would find that amplifying their life transforming their life in using their life with a level of joy which is extreme and cannot be achieved any other way and that they will find that they are a vastly more hopeful entity for the one in a million seeds, people, souls, on earth that through their help can be cultivated to a similar level of joy, which is the pursuit of more goodness in the world.
And within me I believe that I do not find the supreme law that Tolstoy and Gandhi speak of, the in Violet law of love,. more particularly I do not find the strength within that to fully amplify and animate my life on this sinking Titanic Earth. But within the higher law that I find written within me, the law of goodness, the law of being goodness, the law of cultivating goodness with every breath, I believe that I do find the powerful amplification, passion, animation to fully move my life forward for whatever good that might be to Creation.

Important consideration. I think that the pursuit of immediate Justice.....
Important consideration. I think that the pursuit of immediate Justice is typically defeating of more goodness in the world. This just hit me although I think maybe my nervous system has known for most of my life. Walking to internet this morning on a largely empty high speed Road a column of cars approached me as I was as close to the curb as I could be. No cars coming the opposite direction. Three of the four cars naturally gave me a wide berth. The third car in the column did no such thing giving me not an inch. It was so outrageous had I had a hammer in my hand I would have swung it to the side to damage the car in Justice. I'm not happy about that reaction but I'm not unhappy either. It would have been just and maybe even brought more Justice into the world. But it would not have brought more goodness into the world and probably the opposite, hatred, anger. And if I had had a hammer in my hand with that thought occurring to me in that instant I would not have swung it at the car. Now that I see the choice, thankfully in this instance, and now in the future, I definitely prefer the possibility of more goodness in the world, even at the expense of increased immediate Justice. I may find exceptions to this but I think this will be a general principle for me gladly going forward. Although I've never heard this above outlined sentiment expressed, I suspect it is at the root of the nonviolent action advocated for by Tolstoy and Gandhi. They were fairly explicit that what they refer to as non-violence was love in action.

Financial hemorrhaging. Do you want to help with a tourniquet? A Cascade of problems a week ago so far has resulted in $300 in UPS fees alone receiving a electric motor on loan and shipping the primary motor to Canada for repair. I suspect it will be another $400 by the time the motor is received back from Canada and the repair paid for. The cause of the repair is a tenuous means of doing regenerative braking which broke a week ago and created major damage. The vehicle and I can continue to limp along with this Sword of Damocles handing hanging over our head, another failure of this inadequate gearing mechanism, or a solid replacement. A dear Soul, guardian angel, in Michigan, and a dear soul in a bike shop down in Palm Desert 40 miles from here each may have ideas on how to fix this. I suspect another $300 still will be required to implement either one. If you know anyone that would like to help stem the bleeding of these Monies Facebook Messenger is a way of transferring money and another way is PayPal to the email address start underscore loving at yahoo.com.

What I'll do with my lottery winnings. Last night I let my mind run with the notion of winning one or both of the lotteries, maybe a billion dollars. Once or twice before I've let it run similarly. Prior times it has gone to organizations fighting for causes that I fight for. This time it was different. In line with my recent writings of my recent Revelations, this time it went to people that to my soul I see as doing good to attempt to amplify the amount of good they do in the world. There of course is some alignment with the causes that I have fought for but not always. Air feeds life whether it is in a city or a town or the United States or somewhere else in the world. Good is like that but much more important. It is a type of thing, good is. Everything is being destroyed because there is almost no good left in the world dominated by we hideous humanoids. What little decency there might be in the future depends upon increasing the amount of good. In no particular order at all the recipients of my winnings were going to be those individuals I know personally that essentially use their lives to do good, most breaths, some wouldn't be surprised that I would choose them in some wood not. Some individuals that I have watched on the world stage that have no idea who I am, Norman Finkelstein, Gideon Levy, Amira Hass, Jane Goodall..... and yes, some organizations, Jewish voice for peace, if not now, open Hillel ..... And I would have attempted to build an effort 2 establish what it means, a health psychology, work that Abraham Maslow began back in the fifties and sixties that I think was never carried forward. Of course it was not carried forward. The charlatan disgusting Professional Psychology has no interest in creating healthy people, just in treating people for whatever it claims are diseases for the money they can get from it, often what they treat are the few healthy souls in our society that refuse to adapt to a sick Evil deadly culture. And to administer These funds I would need to travel and it occurred to me that I would want to fund a 60 mile an hour version of the vehicle that I currently Drive which could be impossible particularly due to regulatory restrictions but maybe not. It occurred to me to take the lightest licensed three or four wheel vehicle available and to create a shell for it probably made out of glass and load it with gallium arsenide solar panels under some sort of servo-mechanism so that they could be constantly angled toward the Sun. Whether it was individuals or organizations, imagining Limitless money sort of, the attempt would be to find out how much their work was constrained by lack of how much money and to supply that on a one-time or annual basis. In all likelihood Bernie Sanders and his organization would receive a large portion of the funds. Also a few individuals that are so cruelly treated by the world, I would attempt to set up a trust so that each of them would receive A tiny amount of money that they could live on for the rest of their lives.
God is good. Good is God. They are the same thing. They are inseparable whatever they may be. God is nowhere in our lives.

Why would a recent US president be reading Camus the plague, a story about the world dying?......
this is pretty interesting to me. More than interesting, A piece just fell in place. In undergraduate school was the first time that the plague was read by me. It's not something that I have thought about since but I found it very meaningful at the time. It was recently reread By Me Maybe 6 months ago when it was mentioned in an article or in a headline on the horrible creature George W bush, bush 2, who said he had recently read it and found it very meaningful. I didn't read it because he thought it was a good idea I simply realized that it might provide insights for our cataclysmic time. And it did. I was very glad to have read it and I recommend it to anyone looking for direction in where we are in this Dying World. How to live in a Dying World. The piece that just clicked into place was that he, as mentally incompetent as he is, clinically, that he a former recent president of the United States with all of the information at his disposal that that individual, that he would find such a book meaningful. Here's why I find that meaningful. The first time I recall sensing that the folks at the top of what calls itself our government had concluded that everything is going to end, the first time is when I still felt very positively about Barack Obama, probably his sixth year in office, and I saw him for the first time looking like a deer in the headlight, of course he had his painted smile, but he looked scared to death to me in his eyes, deeply terrified. I was sure then and I'm fairly sure now. My sense then was that somehow they had just shown him the shell game, that everything was going to die, and that he couldn't stop it. That's probably not exactly the experience he had but I think it was of that sort. Just this moment 2 + 2 add it up to 4 for me. Why would a recent former president of the United States be reading Camus the plague except to try and figure out how to deal with the fact that someone with all of that so-called Intelligence on world affairs, a recent US president, knew and was planning for everything to die even for the rich? https://archive.org/details/in.ernet.dli.2015.458586

You may notice that my posting of daily atrocities in the world the volume of which only increases, the atrocities, has greatly decreased. At some point were I on the sinking Titanic, I would face the Titanic was sinking, stop spreading news to that effect, and refocus my efforts on trying to help the quality of life of the survivors before their untimely demise. This is where I am and I suspect this is where I will continue to be. No one should construe that I think the things are fine in the world because my postings on The Daily Horrors has declined. It is my conclusion as to what the daily Horrors signify, and Unstoppable Avalanche crushing all decent elements on Earth, it is my conclusion as to the Unstoppable Leti of that that has changed. And hence my focus has changed. I think the focus of us all should change.

Very important ramblings notes to self
Wednesday.
Living as if there is a Creator seems to be inseparable from those few great healthy lives throughout history. scholarship I regard indicates that even Jesus was not sure there was a creator to hear what he had to say but he found it indispensible to elevating the goodness within himself to imagine and live as though there is. to my shock I have found the same these last 18 years.
Yesterday I wrote about the saying - you, are a soul, that has a body, and said that from this seed everything we need to know can grow if we ponder it. I think even more surely the path exists for those who value or learn to value goodness above existence itself. As I examine the few lives throughout history that came close to being Paragons of moral emotional mental health this is true of everyone whether or not they articulated it in this way. it is clear from their life path that this is how they were, they valued goodness above all else. It is as though they were as greedy for, lust full for, craving of, more goodness in the world as Donald Trump is greedy for more attention and power and money or as most of us are greedy for more Comfort and intoxication and pleasure and safety and years. This is how I experience myself these last 18 years. At the time of the inexpressibly great Abraham Maslow (NOT his flawed theory hierarchy of needs), in psychology in the 1960s the research indicated that some chickens were better at selecting grain to eat and hence became more healthy then other chickens and hence they were healthier. Maslow said that he could see this among people that only one in 100,000 I think, he said were good at selecting hey way of being conducive to mental health. I think he would agree that what I've just articulated is an advanced expression of this.
Gandhi and James were incorrect, wrong, not the love of a mother FOR her child is the strongest force in the universe but the love of a mother OF her child. The difference being the former has to do with the pulse of the child, the continuation of that pulse. the point is not that that is bad or good but, it is a thing. the love of a mother OF her child's which is extremely rare in this sick culture, but it happens, the love of a mother OF her child is the love of the being of the child the SPIRIT, soul, essence, piece of Creator of the child. It is the love of the soul the spirit which is in essence divine that is the ultimate constructive force in the universe. yes it remains to be seen that it is the ultimate force as the love of the mother for her child, (or her tribe or her church or her nation…. whwhich far reign supreme and is causing the destruction of everything.
Thursday.
Very important ramblings notes to self
Regularly in my adulthood I go from butterfly to caterpillar to butterfly again. The caterpillar literally offers up all of its biological material for a soup, totally disintegrates to become that soup, that then somehow gets organized into the butterfly. I guess the caterpillar is sort of makes of itself a total soup of stem cells and becomes a new thing. I'm going through that faze now as I have many times before.
My current hunch is that for me and those wishing to do good in the world that what we need is to understand this as a mental health mission, that the world is in near total metal disease. I had hoped to find that the words of Jesus and the early Christian ethassists and more recently Leo tolstoy provided the answer. I'm not now very confident of that, I think they pointed us in the correct direction but my current hope is that Abraham maslow in his work in the 60's of the studying the most healthy individuals throughout history catalog for us as best as we needed, is best as we can find, the mental health that we need to build into ourselves and help others achieve. spiritual health might better be a way of understanding this than mental health but I'm guessing that mental health is necessary. Yesthat sets ones efforts up for an avalanche of attack from a very sick industry of psychologists but I think that maybe a risk I'll have to take. The characteristics he found universal among the healthy population were such things as truth goodness beauty wholeness aliveness dichotomy transcendance, playfulness….. ( is famous hierarchy of needs he got wrong but it can be Reformed into an extremely useful tool)
There are substantial benefits to a metal health model including that it is much less likely to become a sect, an organization, a dogma, a club a religion. it's possible but less likely. it is also less likely to become yet one more mechanism of one group to dominate over another although it is still possible. It is more likely to be and remain a soughtafter way of being, nothing more, nothing less, nothing else.
It continues to be my suspicion as mentioned a few days ago that the Northstar is goodness, one of the several dozen characteristics of healthy people that maslow categorized by the way. although loving tattooed on my face was in the right direction I think it is not sufficient. I think that goodness maybe correct and sufficient and in this the lights of Jesus King Gandhi were also incorrect. God needs to be understood as good and good needs to be understood as God. Gandhi said truth is God no goodness. Teresa Calcutta said it was love life and truth as I recall. no, goodness.
I'm fairly certain that the central hallmark of metal health or the lack thereof is the degree to what which one values goodness even more than the own life or even of the life, pulse, of those they hold most dear life. Crazy unless in fact prevailing goodness is the basis of sustainable pulse which the 2018 world is showing us is the case. This isechoed in the grate Dave Dellinger who said of World War 2, few people chose War, they chose selfishness and the consequence was war.
Jesus seem to have nailed this and surprisingly his followers King and Gandhi got it wrong. it so understandable but goodness not justice is the Northstar and our devotion must be too the metal health of our fellow creatures and not ultimately to their physical well being as difficult is this may be.
Goodness is God. God is goodness. Goodness is God and God must be loved and worshipped above all else. I think this may be it. I think this may be the piece that is been missing.
And it works because without goodness as we are seeing in this 2018 dying world without goodness without the presence and omnipresence of God, of goodness, all life ends.
And a corrilary to this, one must understand that our work, the entire purpose of our life, is to be the seed of metal health, ragingly good, and to act in such a way as to spread that seed and to nurture the few seeds that are already growing or grow as a consequence, understanding that this is a desert wasteland, and that all of the corrilary good we wish to see in the world, the increase of joy, the decrease of suffering, can only happen when there are more people of goodness.

The most important quotation I know, example is not the major thing in influencing people, it is the only thing. Albert Schweitzer Words, stories, religions, have their place, 5% or less of the solution. 95% is being living examples. Everyone wants the revolution, everyone wants to do the revolution, everyone wants to talk about Revolution, no one wants to be the revolution. I am not preaching at you. I'm sharing what my studies show me clearly are major reasons why prior well-intended efforts have failed.
By the way, no Tolstoy, no Gandhi. And yes it was tolstoy's book, the kingdom of God is within you, that turned the direction of Gandhi's life. But it is also true and I don't know how Central, that were as Gandhi said that the greatest example of a human being throughout history was the man Jesus, that the greatest living example in his age was Tolstoy who was walking his walk. Example. Example. We are dying we are starving for living examples.

We need to f****** be really really clear about virtually all prior attempts at communities that were highly moral, sustainable, and created really joyful moral Souls. Many have tried and virtually all have failed. You and I {Dave?} discussed several weeks ago I believe my understanding that denial of self worked for Gandhi but it is massively suboptimal. Maybe I had that conversation with someone else. We are not designed to be primarily creatures of avoidance. It becomes a fetish. This is the problem with religion. It tells us what not to do as we practice it. We don't work like that. We have to fill ourselves. When we don't fill ourselves with the right stuff we try to fill ourselves with the wrong stuff. We are essentially creatures of greed but in this culture unenlightened agreed, ignorant greed, mistaken greed. All hope depends upon being creatures of enlightened agreed, learning the Exquisite superiority of the experience of Joy, which comes only from selfless devotion to creation, and the comprable grotesque inferiority of pleasure, intoxication. Forever people have sought to set up intentional communities, to be moral, and they have all failed for the reason I have just vaguely outlined. I'm certain of this. I'm not trying to gain your agreement but I definitely hope you hear what I'm saying. The great athlete in any sport does not become so by avoiding television, by avoiding being lazy, by avoiding time spent away from training. With few if any exceptions they learn to love the sport, to love the pursuit, to Greeley have that Pursuit take over their lives. And the work you and I are talking about must be understood as the work of trying to save the few individual souls in the world that can be saved, in the same way the few seeds that fall in this desert might be cultivated to Life. By whatever words. Communities, practices, associations, must all every single breath be devoted to that end and yet always groups that set out in this direction lose sight of that, their own growth becomes the purpose, and it becomes one big circle jerk. Always. A fetish. A club. Spiritual masturbation. We don't have time to do this again. The work of the soul, the DNA given soul, of a plant, a mouse, and elephant, or human, the soul is devoted to the well-being of the collective. Not so the head and flesh. Everything depends upon rediscovering the taste for joy and thereby developing our skill to keep the soul in charge for the joy that it generates and keeping, for the greed of it, the head and the flesh under the control of soul. This has been my fuel, my rock, for 15 years now, and with different words it is the same with all of the few individuals throughout history that I Revere.

Important note. Start loving is tattooed on my forehead and wage love on my cheeks. 2007. This was correct, in the correct direction, and I'm glad of it every breath, but it needs Improvement, the direction, the idea. And the Improvement is along the lines...... of soul and more particularly I think Pitirim Sorokin's concept of a Supra consciousness. The 80% of the nervous system that Einstein said we don't use but we can learn to tune into, conscience, innate morality, empathy, compassion, wisdom, vision.... if by heart or loving that is what is understood than the words on my face are adequate. All joy for the individual and hope for the world depends upon each individual placing their heart, Supra Consciousness, in charge each breath, with the mind and flesh instruments thereof. By the way, each breath that any individual does this they experience what it would be like to be United with the Divine, the ultimate Human Experience, creators rain, unconditional loving. Each breath therefore is heaven, the ultimate Human Experience. This is what Jesus knew.

Were I 25 years old, and had the choice I might devote myself to the study that Tolstoy undertook, the original Greek gospels and the ethics they're in.. But I'm 66 and there's no time. I've read his important works on the subject, the kingdom of God is within you that created Gandhi, the law of love and the law of violence that largely created King, the root work of it all the gospel in brief which I've read many times and I'm rereading again and again. Also his confession, what I believe, I hope to find his analysis of the Gospels. I'm interested in Jesus, and now I discover the original Christian ethicists as well, for the same reason that if I were interested in physics I would want to understand everything that Einstein had understood about physics. I think the Tolstoy given the little time we all have, Tolstoy is probably our best window. As I've said often, and I think to you, adulthood taught me early on that in critical situations I needed to look first at those that were showing promising results and when I found such individuals only then be interested in what they had to say. We typically do the reverse and waste our lives doing so. Tolstoy's writings created King and Gandhi. That's pretty good indication for me that I need to understand what he understood.

I'm pretty sure that those who have come to the most full sustainable Humanity the majority were inspired by Jesus and early Christian moral thinking. My study..... these recent days have been to get to the original words of Jesus which are actually much more spare than I thought. And the words that have inspired Tolstoy Gandhi King Schweitzer and others many are from early Christian followers to my surprise, but that's okay. It would have been easier if all of that came from Jesus as a way of communicating to a larger group. But it is not so. One of the greatest intellect's of all time, Leo Tolstoy, spent the last 40 Years of his life entirely understanding, studying, embracing, and putting in his life what he learned from the original ethics of Christianity. He detested the church by the way. He had zero interest in Miracles Etc. To my surprise but gratitude I expect now to be diving in deep again into Tolstoy's writings. When internet access is strong I expect to be putting up an archive in a Google drive folder that I will make accessible to some people including the materials I'm studying.

You are a soul, that has a body. Moral, spiritual, emotional, mental health can be achieved by deeply living this. All of the preventable problems in the world including the destruction of everything decent now, are a consequence of not doing this.

Joshua Tree. Near Zero Internet. Broken motor. Friends assisting. deep in study of the ethics of Jesus, informed by Jesus seminar, Thomas Jefferson, Charles Dickens, Leo Tolstoy. Honest, serious, important question for us: If instead of feverishly building stuff these last two thousand years, we had been feverishly building our human capacity for extreme morality, would we be in a different place right now? Now that everything is imploding, isn't it time to redirect our Energies? Everything material is lost now, But there are certain spiritual opportunities.
