Its reading cured me of my scepticism and made me a
firm believer in [non- violence]. What has appealed to
me most in Tolstoy s life is that he practised what
he preached and reckoned no cost too great in his pursuit
of truth. . . .
He was the greatest apostle of non-violence the present
age has produced. No one in the West before him or
since has written and spoken on non-violence so fully or
insistently and with such penetration and insight . . .
[His] remarkable development of this doctrine puts to
shame the present-day narrow and lop-sided interpre-
tation put upon it by the votaries of Ahimsa in this land
of ours. . . . True Ahimsa should mean a complete
freedom from ill will and anger and hate and an over

type of Ahimsa amongst us, Tolstoy's life with its ocean-

If the weather holds, NASA will launch its
newest Earth-observing satellite from Vandenberg Air Force Base in
southern California late Monday morning. The satellite can monitor
changes in the earth's surface, including those linked to climate
change.

02.13.13 Cancer Update
MRI brain scan fnished just moments ago. Took about 40 min. Huge machine. Massive magnet. Lie still the whole time. No idea what they found. Oncologist meeting Monday at 2pm.
I continue to be 100% Joyful, Loving, Peaceful of Heart, Passionate, Procuductive. Not my business what the results are.
If the liver is not cancer the decision is probably pretty easy - 6 months chemo.
If the liver is cancer, and the prognosis is low odds that treatment will give more than months - is 6 months partial death, for a few months additional, maybe, is that the right choice, use of our kids funds (ALL funds are our kids funds)? Uh, probably not.
Interesting. Oh, given the choice, I'll take the availability of another 30 years, to serve, tho I could end it all in a death fast 12 months from now. LOL. But I'd take the option, if it is available. If not? Hmmm. How to best serve in the little time left - how to make every precious second left - count for our kids - tho this has been my Life for 12 years now. Heaven, on Earth, what Jesus died to give us - the Joy of Complete Service to our Neediest. Mine.
