01.08.13 Day 6: Uh, this cold is Dangerous. Got careless last evening.
Yeah, I knew I was cold, the temperature was dropping pretty fast, the breeze was picking up. But I had a lot to blog, and other work....
It took 45 minutes of marching up and down stairs before the slightest body heat returned at all. But within an hour, I was ok again.
Focus and concentration are quite good this Day 6, but the body is less and less inclined to move, no matter what. Even to stand up and put on more clothes, or coverings, or hydrate. It is fine with the body, this avatar, so far, to sit and type, or pray, meditate, ponder.... But anything beyond that, it is pretty disinclined, now. Dangerous, in this cold, and with the penchant it has developed for dehydration on Hunger Fast.
All just part of the Work.

They are highly educated, from hugely over-achieving, breathtakingly Loving bio-families.
Why was I thinking of their son?
My prayer life is 95% praying "The Lord's Prayer," no, not as the mindless, rote garbage, gibberish we are taught, but as I'd learned / taught myself to pray it by about 10 years ago. THIS is the COMPASS Jesus died to give us. This is my compass, every day, for years now. This way. (tho I've not updated that link in several years, and I'd tweek it now, if I had time, a little.)
Well, often I don't make it past the "Our Creator," and can spend many minutes, or hours with where those two words take me - to where a Loving Creator would be looking!!! To Her, His, It's NEEDIEST Children! And how I was to help them!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, in my wiser moments the phrase "Our Creator" takes my Imagination forward -years forward, to 2050 Ecocided Earth.
"Loving, what are our neediest children, species... BEGGING YOU TO DO, NOW, January 2013???!?!?!?!?"
And that's where I was this moment, and still am.
And it took me to this over-privileged child of this young couple I so adore, in 2050. And this hasn't happened to me till just now.
And I worked to imagine, 'what is he IMPLORING me to do, this hugely over-privileged young child?'
My first thought was, 'well, he ISN'T imploring me. He is so much of the academic, intellectual elite of Americans that he is quite insulated from the ecocide being experienced by 99% of his brothers and sisters on the planet - economically, socially, geographically....'
And I was moving on in my thoughts....
But then, no. No. He was screaming at me, from 2050:
"YOU LET MY PLANET BE KILLED!!!!"
"YOU LET THEM DESTROY ALL THE ANIMALS!!!!"
[Oh God. I haven't sobbed so uncontrollably in quite some time. Can't remember when....]

... then this cancer of mine is one. Makes me cry, in wonder, awe...Joy,... Hope. Something's got to stop this Ecocide. Now....
CANCER IS NOT why I went on Death Fast. In fact, the systemic cancer diagnosis in December precluded me from undertaking another hunger strike, or doing a Death Fast, because it was so clear to me that it's "perception" effect would make it dramatically easier to misconstrue, misrepresent, defame, discredit, dismiss... 'Oh, he's just doing this cuz he was going to die anyway....' , effort. Whatever. (Sometime Truly think about, research, ponder... how aggressively we've destroyed, smeared, dismissed, castrated, neutered... the Revolutionary Truths about the Lives of the likes of Jesus (destroyed his Teaching of how to Live by turning him into a God - remote, (not capable of being followed), MLK Jr, Gandhi.... And, SEE WHAT THE MSM PRESS HAS BEEN DOING TO DESTROY THE CREDIBILITY OF CHIEF SPENCE'S HUNGER STRIKE. Google-news it.). "Do not call me a Saint. I refuse to be dismissed to easily." It's been clear to me since early in the 1st Death Fast, June 2012, that UNLESS THE INDIGENOUS NATIONS STOOD, NO ONE WOULD. AND THEY WEREN'T. AND THEY WOULDN'T. But then, there they were, in front of my face!
2. Diane Wilson, now on day 40 of her Hunger Strike to stop yet another Deadly Source of GHG - Keystone XL pipeline.
...MAYBE, MAYBE, THE BEGINNINGS OF AN UNVIOLENT UPRISING!?!?!? And if not? You know what? Too late anyway.(HERE, and HERE, and HERE)
So, my point above about the cancer being a God-send? Well, it is just that it is helping in a really useful way to heighten what has been true for me for my entire adulthood - my acute awareness that Life is so excruciatingly Short; so much to do, sooooo little time. Very clarifying. Very joyful.
