"I'm not supposed to say, but thanks for what you are yelling,"
the Cap. Hill Policewoman whispered to me.
Last Saturday I went to Capitol Hill where DNC / BarackObama.com
is, intending to phone bank for Health Care Reform Passage. But
then I encountered the GOP angry mob. I was horrified. It was
savage, disgusting. And there was nothing but the rabble - no
counter protesters. I proceeded to DNC to suggest some of us
go the the Hill, but my suggestion was greeted with 'Get out of
here or we'll call the cops.'
I returned to the mob by myself. "Kill the bill, Kill the bill...." They
shouted at each congress person that passed. God / Universal Love
inspired me - "Kill the UnInsured, Kill the Uninsured," I'd scream
at the same congressmen. Each time it would quite the crowd
noticeably. They couldn't figure out whether I was with them
or against them. They overall figured I was with them, I could
tell by their sheepish grins. This went on for several hours,
till my voice quit.
"I'm not supposed to say, but thanks for what you are yelling,"
the Cap. Hill Policewoman whispered in my ear as she walked
past. She "got it."
If there is ever a Peace Movement that pays a price, millions
like her will join.
