He expressed a hope that we could enter into a correspondence that might help with some work that he is doing. This was my reply: Friend, a few others that it seems like you have seen some value in what I have found and the path that I walk, I have pretty universally failed and I think in large part it's because I tried to make it easier than it can be to learn what I have learned. So I am going to attempt to avoid making the same mistake with you. If at such point you were to spend, or anyone like you, where to spend hours, many hours at my blog which tends to be posts that are most about my path and less about politics, at the point that someone like you had spent hours and hours and still felt the need for us to speak informed by what you had read then I would be extremely glad for that dialogue. I'm no Einstein but my every breath is to try and understand things much more important than Einstein was devoted to and I think I've made progress. What disrespect for the process Einstein would show if when someone approached him with interest he did not insist that they first read his works and try deeply to understand them before engaging in personal dialogue? I was so moved, I am so moved, at such words, such trust, such affirmation, such faith. It was difficult to sleep all night trying to digest such a thought. In two weeks the vehicle should be up to the task of these mountains finally, and in 6 months finally out of red ink, thanks to for donations in the last 2 weeks. This update was just sent to the very largest of the donors explaining..... Hers, hers JH'S and YOURS donations are more timely and important than you know. The stresses on the vehicle continue and the evidence piles up that it is finally up to the stresses in part thanks to you. But there remain two substantial expenditures which thanks to you, one of my two dearest friends from Standing Rock, an unmet Facebook sister, and JH who donates $100 every month, met him on that March from Philadelphia to Washington DC, two major expenditures remain which we'll be able to make with huge credit card debt which will remain for six months but we can now sustain that. And if the vehicle is as stable as I think we're finally out of the woods and have all the capability that the environment requires. Every once in awhile a 13 or 14 percent climb pops up out of nowhere. A week ago the only place for 50 miles where we could park for the night was the Snoqualmie Casino. Beautiful, in the foothill mountains, and the huge parking lot required going down and then back up a probably 13 or 14 percent grade. We just barely made it. Any steeper and we were stuck, and way too much stress on the solar vehicle. And although it's a bit technical after excruciating failures, very expensive 6 months ago, regenerative braking is now possible and it is immensely important. But it is only semi permanent and still has risk to it that it could fail. In about a week I'll be back down on the Columbia River I expect where there are two extremely able machine shops that I've encountered. And with the donations of you four there should be the funds to really make this a permanent fixture. And with the stronger motor and the regenerative braking with the days getting so much shorter the new motor should substantially increase the amount of electricity we can put back in the battery going down these mountains. There, that's probably more than you wanted to know.

The goal is to arrive Vancouver on the 21st, with no assumption that Customs will let me out of the country. Tomorrow is 50 miles plan, to a casino parking lot that it seems might allow one to stop for the night in the parking lot. Two-thirds of the way is a UPS Store where the passport hopefully will arrive and bike shop where a spare tire and some tubes can be purchased. And a failing bearing addressed. This body and soul is very very tired in recent days. Combination of tremendous physical exertion and huge distress at the ascendant evil in the world. Travel today was fairly light, much downhill. Several hours this afternoon were spent on maintaining worn tires and other issues. Hopefully this forest service road will be okay for the night and it is the plan to stay here and leave early tomorrow morning hopefully to beat some of whatever morning traffic there may be. Although the Outlook is sunny for the coming week the power of the sun is cut by probably a third with all the smoke in the air from the Miriam fire. Travel each day will require about 50 miles which is a bit longer than desired but in this area of extreme evil inequality the rich folks don't much take to anyone that does not own their own secluded property. And the non Rich locals are understandably outraged at the influx of people to their area pushing them to the margins. research has gone into trying to identify places where stopping for the night will be okay and unless the information is faulty if we are able to travel about 50 miles a day it should work. The plan remains to travel south from Vancouver once the work there is done along the coast. But this has not been planned in any detail and there is Verizon signal in this area so hopefully tonight some of that planning will begin.

Update. More than a week of dry dock should be ending, passport should be arriving....

Update. More than a week of dry dock should be ending, passport should be arriving.... time will tell if a gigantic stabilization of this vehicle, durability, reliability, just took place. The odds are pretty good but the unknowns are there also. Why have these panels been failing? In Prior posts I've discussed that I think I know why, flexing primarily, but every variable I can see beside Ultra fragile design of the panels themselves have now been guarded against very substantially.

This is not how I wanted to spend 8 or 10 days. But it has been very gratifying. My engineering skills have been honed over a lifetime, and specific to this vehicle have been honed over the last couple of years and they all came together on this project.

It turns out that one can get data signal strong and still be considered roaming for phone calls. This accounts for the telephone blackout at such a dreadful time during this Dry Dock project.

With phone restored it now seems nearly certain that the passport is being shipped today for arrival at a local post office on Tuesday and upon retrieval of that the voyage North toward Vancouver and the grin Technologies manufacturer of the vehicles electronic propulsion systems are there with some interest in seeing the vehicle. But my motive is they are a pivot point on this industry for the world and it is important that they see this vehicle, that the seed gets planted in their mind. And it does seem that they have some interest, to my surprise.

If the passport is received as I expect, that in no way guarantees that I'll be allowed out of the states given my Decades of aggressive activism. But that will be interesting to see.

More than a week ago the plan was to spend time up at Mount Hood studying in the Magnificent forests up there and what materialized instead was 10 hours a day of working on the vehicle. Not complaining just observing. But if the vehicle cooperates as I expect it will the next 3 days waiting for the passport to arrive will be spent up in those woods, south of here by about 15 or 20 miles.

The founder and chief engineer and his number 2 are in a cross-continental Asian solar bicycle event until the 19th they tell me, these of grin Technologies, so that will yield about 2 weeks of travel time, a little bit less, which would be about 40 miles a day.

Five or six or seven people are the wind under the wings of this 2 year, 16000 mile Voyage at critical junctures each at their own time. The Pair of Hands that out a week ago was the difference between implosion and launching forward.

Dude, I’m so sick of watching you talk shit over and over and over, and then point fingers, blaming everyone else. Shut the fuck up and actually do something. You’re such a hypocrite." Years ago the young man had encountered me in Washington where I was advocating in front of the White House 12 hours a day and I think his impression of me was very favorable. It seems he has actively watched my Facebook feed ever since. He has become quite the Trump fan and a month ago was horrified by something I wrote about Trump and we had what seemed to be a honest and constructive interchange although he certainly was not swayed to my viewpoint. His comment above was on another post that was scathing of the vile creature dump. I chose to reply to him, well, I guess you're not a fan of Jesus. He replied, you maybe his hands and feet, but you are not his mouth. I chose to block the young man on second thought because I've had a prior interchange turn into the individual complaining to Facebook about my page and getting me blocked for many days. I periodically ask myself similar questions to what the young man raised. But I have come to a different conclusion, although sadly. Sadly because my early adult decades were spent in the World of Concrete achievements which at the time I thought was what was needed. His purpose was to hurt, to express anger, but also to to express his hurt. to a degree he lives in the world that I used to inhabit, the material world, and the world of our cultures values. No, I'm not getting metaphysical here. I am getting psychological. You or I will never know if we are other than and energy stream in The Matrix. Neo did not do his fighting in the material world, but in The Matrix where it needed to be done. This young man's notion of Jesus is the prevailing notion, that he is to be worshipped, and the words written attributed to him spoken by rote. I understand Jesus differently than that. He found his father within himself, unconditional love for all of creation and he lived and died to  reawaken, to bring to life,  to save, that same father and to channel That father into the world. This is what I try to do, this is all I want to do, this is my only hope for the world, or for any individual. And to almost all or maybe all it looks like foolishness, hypocrisy. Your life is your message, said Gandhi. My life is my message. My life is seeing the existential truths as carefully and clearly and honestly as I can, speaking those truths, living those truths, living is close to a perfectly sustainable lifestyle as I can see how to do, trying to do my part of Saving the one in a million Souls that can still be saved, saving them from the living death that was my existence most of my decades, channeling what goodness, particularly goodness here in nature, back into the world. And unceasingly asking of myself and Creator and the cosmos, how I can better serve. Seriously, this realm of the psychological in which I fight Rich this young man finds so incomprehensible, is very much how I built a materially prosperous executive life in Hi-Tech. Ultimately I work with people's Souls, people's spirits, trying to create opportunities where those Souls could find an extraordinary Outlet and then running interference and doing what I could to inspire to make that connection happen.

Infinitely more hideous and deadly than what Trump is doing, is what tens of millions of Americans are not doing.

This is an experimental vehicle, we have few if any like it in the country or in the world right now. It has taught very much about where the limits are and where the needs are and it keeps on teaching. It seems to be trying to kill me but with the decency of a few people that help the mission it has not killed us yet.

Recent days and another set of coming days, maybe another five or six, are being spent repairing, recovering, and doing preventive electrical work to do with solar panels, batteries, wiring.

If there were a team of us, adequate funding, stable suitable testing facilities this process would have happened quite a while ago and would be happening much faster now. And all of it would have considerably more certainty. Having said that under the circumstances I think the few people involved can feel that were all doing rather good work.

The work and Investments being made are not a matter of just doing more of the same. Further Investments and efforts are taking place only based on learning that failures thu's far provide. We may well be at the light at the end of the tunnel. Without question we are getting much closer. Solar panels have been failing and almost certainly it is due to either the shocks and vibrations of this form of transportation, possibly major design flaws from the solar panel manufacturer (a new manufacturer is now being tried) , and possibly electrical spikes in this complex vehicle, and within a week that latter cause will be protected against with new diodes, and additional measures are being taken to eliminate the issue of vibration and shock. And regarding the battery failure which amazes leading Engineers, they don't understand it, within a week there will be new protective measures, diodes, protecting the existing and soon new battery.

Update. Very important mission progress, possibly. If it doesn't kill you you grow, and we're not dead yet.....

1. My dealing with people. When people approach me very often it is a harsh encounter for them. Most who approach want to be entertained, that's their right, but it's my right to not spend my time entertaining them. I never seek to offend and I avoid it to the degree I see how. Although I have yet to try this it occurred to me today how to see and speak the truth in a way that might be much more productive than I have seen how to do now. "Friend, please take no offense, but I'm dealing with a series of emergencies here. Everything anyone wants to know about the vehicle is at my website, the first thing that comes up if you Google start loving." I am dealing with a serious of emergencies. This is where I choose to live, every breath. The world is and has been for decades a Cascade of unfolding emergencies. I believe that life is found only in the face of those. And that's where I have planted myself my entire adulthood as best I could see how. But I have not thought to speak this to those that approach me wanting entertainment. I think it's going to be a big help.

2. Crushing financial situation with the vehicle, moving further into debt with a tiny Ray of Hope. A friend of the mission has stepped up with some funding that will go a substantial part way toward dealing with the failure of the major battery and almost all of the solar panels again. In addition one of my two credit card companies, my owners, I am in a position for a very low interest situation for some number of months. So by going more deeply into debt gambling that in fact the vehicle is becoming more stable, Maybe infinitely more stable almost, it's a roll of the dice and we'll either die or maybe survive. Time will tell.

3. Passport, travel schedule. Additional documentation had been requested, understandably given my facial tattoos and years of dropping out of the system in Washington DC Etc, and Friday I confirmed that the documentation has been received by them. They know I am trying to get into Canada August 7th and apparently they try and work around such dates. Middle of next week a clearer picture should emerge. If I do get a passport which I expect to that still leaves the question of whether I am on lists from my years of activism in DC and standing rock that will cause them to prevent my going into Canada at the border. That will be interesting to see.

The vehicle has received tremendous small medium and large upgrades over the last nine months and longer that have made it ever so much more robust. Doing so has cost every penny and more but it has been worthwhile. I am totally willing to let this thing die but not prematurely and it would be premature now. So I'm prepared to go even deeper into debt but I'm putting the word out there that if you know anyone that has substantial Financial Reserves that won't hurt themself to contribute either a donation or a loan it would be extremely timely right now. A $700 battery is now dead. Unknown why. But it's dead. Recent climbs here in the Rockies have shown me that it is past time to have a more powerful., $600, motor mid vehicle. And there are ongoing issues, unknown cause as of yet that are causing solar panels to fail. The mission needs $1,000 to keep afloat right now. If you know anyone that would like to help without hurting themselves, which I will not allow, now would be an excellent time to let me know. I'm almost certain that the answer is no, but it would be irresponsible of me not to put the word out. James

Two more solar panels have failed after about 4 months. This is not financially sustainable. It's killing us. In 5 or 10 years maybe there will be a service industry for this type of panel but today it is virtually unknown. The odds are quite High that one or both of two things have happened, vibration has cracked a cell breaking the circuit within the panel and or one or both of two diodes that I'm told are in the tiny control box have failed. On Tuesday an electronics place will be evaluating the diode which I pray is the problem because I think that is repairable.

They've been there for thousands of years. It is not that I feel at a loss for what is good, for knowing what is good, I feel that I do. I feel that almost every young toddler knows before we destroy that within them. And even more

than one in a million people Beyond toddlerhood there is still a dim obscure clouded light as to what his goodness. But how to set a lighthouse on a hill that goodness can be more Shirley found and stood on? This is Central to my task right now. Somehow my lifelong study of history is great change agents is relevant but not on point. By way of analogy I have studied those who were courageous and Brilliant and good at stopping out plague or weeds of evil. But what is more essential is what is good and how to cultivate it.

Important Update. Several things. The level of relative peace that I'm feeling.....

Update. Several things. The level of relative peace that I'm feeling..... continues from the other day when I saw that the Arc of the moral Universe does Bend toward Justice and Justice is that we tiny tiny tiny hearted American citizens and World citizens really are finally coming to justice for our small heartedness with our Collective torture and suicide as a consequence. But my instincts to try and save everything are still there so it's very hard for me not to spend too much time watching world events and looking for some way to stop it all. But I must to large degree because what's needed from me as best I can articulated right now is to do the work that I wish had been done for young James, me, 60 years ago, 50 years ago, 40 years ago, that might have saved me from wasting so many decades on Pleasure instead of joy. On a more pragmatic note, as mentioned yesterday the journey is lengthened by several weeks due to passport creation delay the so one or two or three significant vehicle issues may be addressed in that time. This fabulous RV trailer, experimental, could use an improvement in the hitch arrangement to make it more solid and with the advice of a fellow that I encountered by chance yesterday I have found a metal fabricator than on Monday May do so about 50 miles from here. Horribly, another solar panel has failed. The two lead theories are Road vibration but there's also a possibility that an electrical problem is causing high voltage to go back through the panel. A warranty was purchased on some of these panels and for the first time I am exploring to see whether those will be honored. If not it might be in Oregon or Washington which are fairly Progressive from an energy standpoint that a solar supplier might be willing to help me diagnose what's going on. The ongoing expense of replacing these is crippling. Major work was done to increase the support under the solar panels, about a month ago, and it is hoped the that will protect the panels and keep most of them from failing. Or at least your medically slow the failure rate down. Probably in the next few days additional work will be done along those lines.

Even in the most pitiful insignificant ways I must not Perpetuate the deadly delusion in others that I can do their job for them. Sure, dismiss this as self-serving whining if you will. I'm comfortable that my 17 years of radically sacrificial joyful activism speaks for itself. I will continue to live the only joyful life there is for anyone at any time in any circumstance, serving the neediest from the soul in solidarity. But as I have written often recently my heart has gone out of saving Humanity because I see virtually no Humanity to save. The one in a million exception today or in the next eon is my personal responsibility now. Trying to give guidance and Sparks of Hope to them. But I have no perfect wisdom and from the sidelines now I will share what truth and wisdom I see that if I am wrong and there is a latent Humanity that could rise up in these final seconds where it could make a difference, I will provide what coaching and help from the sidelines that I can.

If this experimental vehicle stabilises we will be able to live on income equal to the federal poverty level. If I had twice that, or 10 times that, or a thousand times that, I would continue to live as I do with no more money spent on myself because I don't want anything beyond what I have for myself. I also don't want to eat sand. I have only 12 hours of productive time per day ever since the major cancer treatment and operations. But those 12 hours are spent as best I know how working for goodness in creation because that is where I find Joy, the opposite of pleasure, and I find joy entirely preferable to pleasure. When I unknowingly worked for pleasure my income was 200 times the federal poverty level, and it was not enough. I spent just as much of my Waking Life working then as I do now. 100% of it. I need several billion dollars, seriously. Deadly serious. I would use every penny as I use every penny now, but much more amplitude is needed, to sell joy as the exact opposite of pleasure, a fact of which we are systematically and totally ignorant and or Worse, misinformed.
