Experiencing the masses as people is deathly depressing to me. But the same masses as souls, not so. Astonishing. Transformational. Life-saving. Game changing.

Will this persist beyond the recent few days? Time will tell but James suspects yes. 

 If this persists as he expects it will it may take him a long long time to fully unpack what's going on. 

 When James perceives them as bodies, head and Flesh, his sense is of profound hopelessness,

despair, disgust.

When he changes his perspective and sees them as souls all of that negativity is replaced by a sense of possibility, also great sadness but possibility and it profoundly changes his orientation to the occasional interaction. the hostility that he would feel and try not to express, the disgust, Is immediately replaced By an almost reverence for the fact that he is in contact or at least in the presence of what was and may still be a little bit a soul. It is transformational and infinitely more sustainable for James and much more constructive for his mission. Both are true, in front of him is head and Flesh, and soul. 

Yes, it may take a long time for him to fully grasp this. What is going on that this is so transformational.

Almost certainly part of what's happening is when James changes his perspective he changes the part of himself that is in charge and empowered, head and flesh in the 1st place, soul in the 2nd.
