Protect, reignite soul log August 27. Quite a productive day yesterday. Many people want to do what you're doing. God has a way of calling you.

 .... This morning the stomach was a bit Difficult. .... A bathroom was available in the truck stop and then
the restaurant use both times. Just 15 minutes later In the outskirts of the little town, no facilities anywhere, James passed a tiny one man factory and the individual said hello. James thought to stop and ask, is there a bathroom anywhere near for an emergency? The nice gentleman a bit younger than James immediately motion to the bathroom in his tiny factory. 

 James expressed his appreciation. Where are you going and where did you start? Asks the individual. .... James gave the same answer as always because the answer is always the same. 

 God has a way of calling one said the man. 

 The day before sitting in the Walmart parking lot, Othello Washington, A car pulled alongside, as usual, James felt a bit annoyed, but was calm and respectful to the enquiry. Quite a long conversation ensued very productive. The man, about 60, certainly considered himself Christian. Not someone I would term as fisticated in thinking or scholarship, not a criticism or slight. 

 .... Pretty much everything James had to say about Jesus, the teachings of Jesus, the church, were probably very contrary to what this individual arrived with. But the individual was very appreciative of what James had to say. Very thoughtful face-to-face and probably later. Toward the end the individual commenter, many people would like to have the courage to do what you are doing. With such comments, James does not really know what is meant by, what you are doing. But James receives it As substantial encouragement and affirmation of his pitiful attempts. 

 Something may burst the bubble but that seems unlikely. James Affair with truckers. The point of love affair, James deep and abiding affection for truckers. Why? Certainly no deep research reason. But a sense that as a population they are simple, hard working folks. And it continues to seem that there is something in this voyage that is touching them. It seems impossible that these huge wide sweeps around the vehicle whenever possible are a show of consideration and respect. Seems rather impossible that they are shows of disrespect. And definitely there are honks of encouragements, respect, approval. What a joy. What a privilidge.
