combining several thoughts, keep everything out of the way of the thighs, cycling with, not on, the vehicle. And at
difficult moments, be patient, inspire, but wait for, your helpers, the motors.
difficult moments, be patient, inspire, but wait for, your helpers, the motors.
The significance of all this 3
Three or more concepts are coming together in this period and it seems promising and fruitful.
item, all effort actuating the motors is in the thighs. Do not allow energy in the lower legs that takes pressure away from the thighs onto the vehicle.
item. do not incumber the thighs. energy outside of a thighs into the lower legs creates confusion and interference with the thighs. It is very hard for the body to trust that the thighs don't need help by some level of tension in the lower legs. Yet there has never been an incident where in fact energy there was other then a hindrance.
Another issue, there is some evidence that a cadence about 70 RPM, with enough motor power that this is fairly comfortable, seems to deliver power in the range of 120 or more watts human per hr at less effort than 100 W human power at an rpm of 45.
something else quite helpful on this very long climb is to drop the gaze even into the cockpit looking at the thighs. At least on this voyage that helps to focus energy in the thighs and away from the lower legs that keep trying to interfere.
