Seeing as you watched the vid, you should watch for my posts tonight and
tomorrow. I needed to see, and to say, what I did in that vid, but it
was not the end, it was a new beginning. If I'm to be forgiven for my
ways at all, this quote may be a reason why:
"I never know what I
think till I've read what I've written," Faulkner (paraphrase). So it
is with me. I make no apologies but I understand it makes for a rough
ride.
The French Resistance, German Underground is not an analogy
for today, and I was momentarily feeling that it was, deeply. No. Not
at all. The French, and millions of Germans SAW the machinery crushing
them. Many responded in cowardly ways, but 'seeing' it still made them
available 'victims' to be inspired to join, to act, by others. No,
again, The Matrix.
We have The Matrix. Today's kids, the Victims, are tightly screwed
into the Matrix pods. I'm not slandering them. But this is how they are
responding. My God, the exceptions - some of the Tar Sands Blockade
folks. But their continued micro-numbers to me only proves that their
generation is the first one totally raised in the matrix, totally
addicted to stuff, not a snowballs chance in hell of them recognizing,
embracing, and responding to their victimhood. No, not like the Fr. or
German resistance. Not like women's suffrage, apartheid, vietnam war,
civil rights - where there were huge numbers that recognized, tho would
not initially confront, their victimhood. The Matrix.
I no longer expect to terminate treatment, not that anyone should care, but just for the record.
No,
the only life worth living in the future will be self-lessly Loving our
global neediest; and no, life expectancy will be short,
and brutalization, high. But the psychological experience will be
Heaven, as long as it lasts. Hispanics I think come closest, but spend
their lives trying to work for rich folk. But humble, and I think,
joyful servants, as a group. I must see how to help make that choice
more available to future generations than it would be without my
efforts. Least, that's my hunch for me right now. Pretty much what I'd
been figuring before today's important detour.
