To say you cannot make an effort to keep
from doing what is wrong is the same as admit
ting you are not a human being but an animal or
a lifeless object. Humans know that it is within
our power to make an effort.
Every religion teaches us that all our life is
an effort, progressing from the basic animal stages
to the higher life of the spirit.
