60MPH GUSTS BLOW ME OFF HILL FOR THE NIGHT

Having dragged my stuff the 50 blocks or so to retake the Hill early this morning, surviving the cold and the 60 mph wind gusts; at about 7pm I was setting up "camp" for the night, not quite sure what was going to survive that wind by morning, when beep beep beep... my guardian angel Elen was there in the car. "Hi," I said. "Get in," was the response. "Hmmmm...." I said. "GET IN!!!!!" was the command.

Precious equipment, signs, etc was getting destroyed / blown away. Can't really afford that.

This is pretty extreme weather for DC.

I expect to be back to Retake the Hill 7/24 tomorrow morning.

For those of you who join some thoughts:

FAR AND AWAY the most difficult part is NEVER being able lay prone 7 /24. Call Bev at Relax The Back Store in Wilmington DE and she will cut you the best price she can, and express out to you (your cost) most of the following: 2 Cascade Camp seat cushions, 1 Roho seat cushion, 1 Obus High Back. Get the $20 Mtn Chair from Eastern Mtn Sports. I don't see how you can make it with less than these.
COLD. You DO seem to be able to have sleeping bag. Have as warm a one as you can for day and night use.
WET. This is a huge potential enemy. Rain pants, umbarella, 6 INDUSTRIAL SIZE - STRENGTH GARBAGE BAGS. EMS / REI have "emergency blankets / space blankets" of the medium strength variety, like a tarp. I duct-tape on into a mummy bag for my sleeping bag lower to go into for dryness, and the other I arrange over my upper for overnight vigil in rain.
In many months there I've not been arrested and only rarely hassled. Maintining the Vigil in all regards including apperance is key. Most of the officers are extremely respectful of genuine courage.
Even with hundreds of us, this is not a social event, it is war, waging love to save civilization - 7/24.
Reading / listening to appropriate material is necessary for sanity and "the work." "Learn as though you were going to live forever." I have an extensive mp3 audio book library to share.
NATURE CALLS: By the time you join Congress is likely to be in session which means 7-7 restroom is available. Otherwise, NOT. NOT weekends. Think bottles.
Remember, we are an army and need to maintain decorum.
No public wifi. No public AC.
Little or no support.

Working through the night project completion is finally within sight, it would seem, on 3 of 4 projects.

The final project, yet to begun should be quite manageable.

This is the final great battle for Humanity. With or without comrades I'll fight it to the finish.

Don't feel bad about not seeing it. My entire adult career / training / passion / expertise / commitment was seeing large scale calamity months, years or decades before others - in time to starve it off - saving organizations in the computer industry which I did with some regular success. My whole life, on important matters, I simply "see" many, many times further than others. Simply a gift I've received, I use, and I die to share.

On the Hill (so I was already totally committed, day 6 of the Huger Strike) on Christmas, I began a book I suspected was essential for me to read. Although obvously I could see why it was time to lay our lives on the line, I had no hope of effectively communicating to you "why," that we were facing calamity worth sacrificing our lives for, let alone communicating to you why it had to be TODAY, NOT TOMORROW. My only opportunity was to do my part in showing you "that" we were facing calamity worth sacrificing our lives for by doing so myself. "Example is NOT the major thing in influencing people. Whereas this is the most important quote for this time, this place, and this crisis; explanation, clarity, vision, information does have a place as well. By December 26th as I completed my first reading of the book, on the Hill, I realized that the book I was reading was that vision, information Divinely articulated, impeccably researched and miraculously substantiated....

In finishing my 2nd reading today I realized the imperative of getting to a computer and:

getting this initial alert to you, and
creating a more extensive tool to get this information available to people, which I'll hope to complete by tomorrow or Tuesday so I can return to the Hill. The Hunger Strike continues, although to clear my head for this computer work I am taking juice tonight and probably tomorrow for which I expect to subtract one or two days from the Hunger Strike count.

On the Hill I've had no computer capacity because the laptop Dave and MR loaned me is in the shop for repair. But this is not the major reason that, if you've tried to contact me, you've had no response. With the few days I may have left, there is no time for emails. The time for chat is past. The time for dialog is past. The time to discuss - "how is Start's health, safety..." is totally

The Hunger Strike (scroll down for details; water if provided and vitamins) to bring about the immediate shift of $200 BILLION FROM WARMAKING TO PEACEBUILDING began at 12:01 AM December 18th, one week before the birthday of my #1 hero and Gandhi's and ML King Jr's - Jesus. Racing to get on the Hill by MONDAY morning. We are out of time. Forgive my silence up until now. Causing this immediate $200 Billion SHIFT, NOW, demands all my attention; ALL OUR ATTENTION. Any questions you have will have to be addressed at this site or youtube: StartLoving1. The time for "talking" is passed. LONG passed. We KNOW what to do, and we're going to die avoiding it. Now, I hold out some hope for those working intimately with Vandana Shiva, that THEY may be True Activists, the True opposition to the armies of destruction, but I have insufficient information so far to know. Maybe Teresa of Caltutta's group, some of them is the real deal, the real opposition. A small subsegment of IVAW seems "real," and a small subsegment of CODE PINK IS REAL - (LIZ, DIANE, ANN YOU ARE OUR SHEROES!!!)

It hit me within recent days that the groups here in DC associated with Activizm are either significantly infiltrated by anti-Democracy government agents, or this infiltration has NOT happened because the bumbs, neredowells, delusionals, incompetents, slackers, slugs and hasbins (all my brothers and sisters whose Life I am giving mine for) ... that fill the ranks of these groups are already serving the purpose that the FBI, CIA, NSA... would otherwise have had to infiltrate!!! I have never been more serious, better informed, or objective. My God, how did it take me 4 years to see this clearly.

There are no more than 5 that would have made it among the 1000's of high performing, high output, HUMANE, COMPASSIONATE, "GOOD" employees and associates I've had over the years in industry. Appalling lack of discipline, courage, focus, honesty, compassion, pride, humanity, sense of urgency, stamina, truthfulness, trustworthiness, follow through, RESPONSIBILITY, INITIATIVE, GENEROSITY, ALIVENESS.....

Activizm is where you go when you want to be a bumb, and feel good about yourself. OR to sanitize your wretched, middleclass overprivelege, and for some reason Church will not do for you.

THERE IS NO PEACE MOVEMENT, just like THERE IS NO CHURCH.

"People's History of the United States," Howard Zinn, for seeing the true face and substance of America.
"The Great Turning," David Korten. This guy is blind emotionally, but intellectually he is brilliant and this book is an indispensable analysis of where we are and where we need to go. I IMPLORE YOU TO GET IT, READ IT, MASTER IT, AND TAKE US BEYOND. I am in the process myself.

In the meantime please study all 4 segments, deeply, as I have:

For a year or three I've had the "idea" that it was right for me to include in my "immediate family" not only my 6.7 billion currently born, but also 50 billion or so in the not too distant future.

But it was only 2 nights ago, as I began to truly face for the first time, as Jesus did, that the current generation may well be beyond redemption, that I united with them, they became real in my heart. Oh God, what a gift.

I think that courage, and Love are to be found, and demand that in such a wretched and wicked generation, that we hold ourselves primarily in front of, and accountable to our children's children's children, the few likely to be left after the armageddon we are choosing not to stop. They will need to know how womenmen are to live, to know that some tried, and to have models to emulate. We are dying for models, and they in generations hence must not do so.

They need as many legends as we can give them, so they avoid the traps that have doomed the majority of us alive today.

I believe that anger against anyone, meanness against anyone, release against anyone, anything against anyone is ALWAYS hostility, always per se EVIL. So am I doing evil?

I think I am doing good.

My harshness is that of a surgeon, an MD attempting to pierce the skin with scalpel or hypodermic.
My harshness is that of an enlightened loved one delivering Tough Love to an otherwise dying addict; dying from denial I try to pierce.

MY FLAME IS RELIT, HAVING GONE DANGEROUSLY LOW.

Why had my flame, my Spirit, my unity with God gone dangerously low? Had to do with:

Being on autopilot massively absorbed in getting Obama elected.
Being in an environment now of great unclarity when compared to the campaigns for Darfur, Iraq, Iran, against Bush... for so long.
Being in an environment now that Obama is elected where it may be possible to be FOR something - the way the world should be, the way the world must be - to survive and flourish, and prosper; not just AGAINST the madness. But this requires massive work to discover, to learn, to conceive a comprehensive Truth based vision of how we are to Live on this earth at this time.
The relatively new http://youtube.com/StartLoving1 ministry which is quite powerful but extremely time consuming with relatively mind-numbing technical work.
Wounds from terminated relationships that were not too long ago hugely encouraging and nurturing and sustaining for me.
Wounds from hostility and neglect both gleeful and unwitting from parties currently.
Solitude, a Long Loneliness as Dorothy Day spoke of it.
Massive discouragement at having worked so long and hard, at such cost and yet seen so little, if any impact.
Discouragement that so much can be wrong, that we can be sooooooo sick; and as is always true with addiction, so totally determined to NOT be cured.

How it seems that my Spirit has become re-lit?

I was alert to the flame-out; didn't deny it but recognized it as priority #1 - SPIRIT IS EVERTHING. SPIRIT IS EVERYTHING.
Sought solitude and took as much time, 3 days, as was needed - pretty much solid - in bed. This was not easy. "What's wrong with you?" is among the thoughts that crowded in. "Maybe you will not re-ignite," was present. Frightening. "Maybe the folks that let you stay here will throw you out, as a bum," crowded in.
SPIRIT IS EVERYTHING; WITH IT MIRACLES ARE POSSIBLE; WITHOUT IT NOTHING IS POSSIBLE.

The biggest surprise, the biggest lesson to me during this Retreat, this depression cycle, is that what seems to have caused a re-ignition is some advice a used to be friend gave me not too long ago - "Climb into the lap of God [the lap of Universal Love]." In previous cycles when my flame has gone low, or out, I've recovered other ways. This time, what I needed, was to remember to, and then to take the time to "climb into the lap of God." I didn't do it for me. I did it in an effort to regain the ability to be a prayer of hope for this dying, and almost dead world, my brothers and sisters, my children and parents.

Why did this do the trick? Near as I can tell, by accessing directly and deliberately, at some great effort the reservoir, the circuits within for Universal Love, it just kinda switches it on - Universal Love - like switching on a pump that has accidentally been allowed to switch off, or to become unplugged, powered off.

It felt like carrying an extinguished, a doused torch to a fire and feeling it ignite. For the first time I now find some meaning in the idea - "You must love yourself before you can love another." NO, but close. You must FIND Universal Love within yourself before you can share Universal Love toward another. "The Kingdom of God is within you. Be like a Child and find it."

I think I'm back now.

JESUS DIDN'T ANSWER HIS ACCUSERS WHY? THAT IS NOT WHAT THEY NEEDED.

THE ANSWER WAS/IS WITHIN THEM, AND ONLY TO BE FOUND WITHIN THEM, WITHIN THEIR INDIVIDUAL CONSCIENCE, AND ONLY JESUS' SILENCE GAVE THEM/US A CHANCE TO FIND IT - THE ANSWER WITHIN. ANY "ANSWER" FROM HIM WOULD HAVE BEEN TO OBSTRUCT / OBSCURE THEIR PATH TO THE ANSWER, TO SALVATION. ANY "ANSWER: FROM HIM WOULD HAVE DEAFENED THEM TO THE VOICE OF THEIR OWN CONSCIENCE / HUMANITY / THE VOICE OF GOD WITHIN. AVOIDING THIS WAS WORTH LIFE ITSELF TO JESUS.

"MANY ARE CALLED BUT FEW ARE CHOSEN." LOOKS LIKE HE WAS RIGHT. I'M DYING TO MAKE HIM WRONG; AS DID HE.

WHY DID JESUS RIDE INTO TOWN, TO HIS DEATH? THE DISCIPLES WEREN'T "GETTING IT" OTHERWISE.

IMPORTANCE OF THE OBAMA ELECTION? GIVES US A FEW MORE SECONDS ON THE DOOMSDAY CLOCK.

I'VE NOW SEEN THE GREAT U.S. PROGRESSIVE INTELIGENCIA. THEY'RE JUST STREIGHTENING THE DECK CHAIRS ON THE TITANIC.

Their focus is on "the MOST of these;" the middle class.

The United States is unusual among the industrial democracies in the rigidity of the system of ideological control - "indoctrination," we might say - exercised through the mass media.

To some degree it matters who's in office, but it matters more how much pressure they're under from the public.

Unlimited economic growth has the marvelous quality of stilling discontent while maintaining privilege, a fact that has not gone unnoticed among liberal economists.

We can, for example, be fairly confident that either there will be a world without war or there won't be a world - at least, a world inhabited by creatures other than bacteria and beetles, with some scattering of others.

You never need an argument against the use of violence, you need an argument for it.

Peters was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He went to Severn School for High School and attended Cornell University, receiving a bachelor's degree in civil engineering in 1965, and a master's degree in 1966. He then studied business at Stanford Business School, receiving an M.B.A. and Ph.D.. In 2004, he also received an honorary doctorate from the State University of Management in Moscow.

From 1966 to 1970, he served in the United States Navy, making two deployments to Vietnam as a Navy Seabee, then later working in the Pentagon. From 1973 to 1974, he worked in the White House as a senior drug-abuse advisor, during the Nixon administration. Peters has acknowledged the influence of military strategist Colonel John Boyd on his later writing.

From 1974 to 1981, Peters worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, becoming a partner and Organisation Effectiveness practice leader in 1979, and then in 1981, he went solo and became an independent consultant.

In 1990, Tom Peters was honoured by the British Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) as one of the world's Quality Gurus, and has been awarded the number 3 rank on the international Leadership Gurus survey for 2008. The “Leadership Gurus 30” award, by Global Gurus International identifies the top Leadership professionals in the world by merit and public voting.

GOOD NEWS!!! The Truth is: Life, out of Love, Sacrifices for JOY

Gospel as we know means "Good News!" But what is the good news??????? Well, maybe as the cHURCH says it is that one can go to Heaven after death. I've never believed this and I never will. I've always believed that it had to do with THIS life, THIS earth, and I've been sure of it because the more I've joined Jesus in His work the more heavenly my life has been. But, I believed there was an answer to the question - What's the Good News? And I couldn't express it. NOW I CAN!!!!!!!!!!!

THE GOOD NEWS!!!! ...
TRUTH IS: LIFE OUT OF LOVE, SACRIFICES FOR HUMANITY, FOR JOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "If you lose [sacrifice] your life you gain it; if you hold on to your life [refuse to sacrifice it] you lose it!!!!!!!!!" Jesus.

Now I can articulate it!!!!!!! Now maybe I can learn to express it beyond my own actions, before I pass on!!!!!!! Boy, that would be great!

THE BOTTOM LINE: WAGE LOVE, PROFIT HUMANITY, REAP JOY

1. Wage Love - this is what you were designed to do - as is all life - to Wage Love/Creation/Goodness.
2. Profit Humanity - avoid the murderous lie that our "family" is some subset of Humanity. Every single one of History's heroes sets the lie to this - King, Gandhi, Jesus, Romero.... Avoid the cancerous lie of western civilization, aided and abetted by the cHURCH that it is OK to Profit FROM others. This is a direct perversion of Jesus teaching and life. Life PROFITS OTHERS. Period.
3. Reap the uninterrupted flow of the chemical/psychological coctail Joy - Heaven, "Our Father's Kingdom," Nirvana... by whatever name.

There is not much else that the greats teach. There is not much else to know.

Will waste a lifetime, like me, discovering this path?

Will you discover it and walk the path now in time to lead others?

An inescapable aspect of the human condition is that we cannot NOT seek our greatest self interest.
An ALMOST inescapable aspect of our Religion of Consumerism is that WE ARE TOTALLY MISINFORMED ABOUT OUR SELFINTEREST. We've been told that PLEASURE is the ultimate, when in fact it is JOY.
JOY is the FUEL of the PERPETUAL LIFE/LOVE/TRUTH/SALVATION engine. No? If not there is no hope. If not Jesus was wrong; King was wrong; Gandhi was wrong.
