Briefly, weeks ago when I was bearing levels of pain at the Embassy that are new to me the following gift of awareness came to me.
I imagined that I was in a Holocaust Death Camp where I knew that the truth was - if you limped, you were defective - YOU WERE KILLED INSTANTLY.
Imagine what that meant. I did. "Pain" and "Suffering" became luxuries THAT PEOPLE DID NOT INDULGE.
The point? We have unimagined abilities to IGNORE, TOTALLY DIVERT OUR ATTENTION FROM PAIN AND SUFFERING.
PAIN AND SUFFERING ARE A CHOICE WE MAKE.
