Life is a process whether we are speaking organically or psychologically.
The Life process of the "cell" is either working for the wellbeing and regeneration of the entire "body" or it is "cancer." Cancer is simply organic stuff that loses health in such a way that it neglects its duty, role, God given, evolution given function - neglect of the other.
The "mind" is either dedicated to the wellbeing of the "body" or it literally is "cancer" - killing the body of mankind, and dying itself.
"The Kingdom of our Father is within you. Be like a child and find it," Jesus.
The essence of a child is to Love. Yes it gets pissed when it has a poop in its pants, but its essence is to Love, be connected, fascinated, enthralled, empathetic, compassionate, caring, helpful (yes). These are our neotenous (Montegue) species traits of Health. Losing this essence of Loving is the psychological equivalent to losing and arm, or being riddled with cancer; and it is the equivalent of becomming a killer virus to the body of humankind.
Cure and health of the psyche is the moral and species survival imperrative of all humans - cure thy self, cure thy brother, or perrish.
